Jeremy Scott has developed the kind of name recognition that few sneaker designers could ever hope to attain. Pretty much every eye-catching Three Stripes drop is either authored by him or will draw comparisons, and in the case of this latest J.Scott Originals by Originals release, there’s just no chance of blending in. The Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals JS Hiking Boot looks like some kind of comic book superhero with a neon green alligator texture, but alludes to an alter-ego with class and sophistication thanks to the fine Italian leather build. Nothing about Jeremy Scott’s adidas Originals by Originals is about blending into the background, so you might have already seen these in the distance when viewing some of our other previews from Bread & Butter Berlin. The Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals JS Hiking Boot pictured above is easily the wildest take on this traditional trail design yet, a neon green macro croc patent leather explosion whose black sole and eyelets and pink-outlined purple branding make these look like part of a lasertag/paintball uniform. Along with J.Scott’s safari of an Instinct Hi, we have a growing body of evidence where Three Stripes’ most audacious guest designer has comfortably settled in at the leading edge of one of this year’s most notable trends.
