With the traditional forms nearing saturation, sneaker companies have turned to new animal print interpretations to keep the vibrant trend fresh. We just saw French fashion house Kenzo offer a novel approach in their latest Vans collab, a release that in retrospect, might be more closely related to this Three Stripes trio than was immediately evident. A similar bleeding look comes through on the adidas Consortium Watercolor Animal Print Pack, a wild theme that brings together the adidas Originals Tech Super, Matchplay and Strider for a set that released over the weekend at adidas boutiques in London and Berlin, and is now available at select additional retailers including SNS.

Before adidas Consortium could really get back to its roots, Three Stripes focused on the essence of five key models that came together in pristine form to create the ‘Tabula Rasa’ collection. Three Stripes brings back these same five for another go-round, and this time they live up to the division’s implied collaboration, further multiplying in the process. adidas Consortium’s ‘Your Story’ Collection now includes at least eight pairs, as Kara Messina’s leopard Pro Shell contrasts DJ Muro’s Gucci-lean, Viktor Tell’s Matchplay raises the bar Jim Thompson set and Shaniqua Jarvis shows Quote how to make not just the stripes on a ZX 500 all blue. Check out the second drop’s first three pairs as well as new shots of a couple pairs we previewed yesterday, let us know which is your favorite and stick with Sneaker News for updates on this pack we expect in stores within the next few weeks. via Sneaker Freaker

It was just about a week ago that Sneaker News scooped you with word of the impending return of adidas Consortium, and now we have more details on the five-shoe comeback run. The adidas Originals ’Tabula Rasa’ collection takes its aesthetic from the Latin for ‘blank slate’, a look that translates perfectly to the modern language of style with a quintet of tonal White Vapour classics. In addition to their pristine appearance, these silhouettes are some of the lesser seen Three Stripes heritage models, the adidas Originals ZX 500 far and away the most familiar in a group that also includes the BC, Decade, Pro Shell and Matchplay. Have a closer look at each pair of these luxurious suede, nubuck and pigskin designs and stick with Sneaker News for updates on their release.
