It’s kinda nice to see a shoe with the vintage label without a bunch of yellowing and bruises busting up the clean look, isn’t it? The Size? x adidas Originals Rod Laver Vin Lux has a throwback feel what with the clean lines of this OG tennis silhouette, but it keeps the bar at a premium level with the canvas and suede combo. Breaking up the black pair a bit is some contrastive stitching, along with a few regal looking hits of gold toward the top of the shoe and on the adidas Originals branding on the insole. One of the earliest people to lock down a signature shoe in the modern era, Rod Laver was an adidas athlete who made the Three Stripes brand famous while winning countless tennis tournaments back in the 70s. Ironically his sneaker did so without even bearing the three stripes, wiped clean of the typical adidas look as a result of strict outfit guidelines.
