ADIDAS ORIGINALS adidas Originals is a subdivision of adidas focused on resurrecting classics such as the adidas Superstar and the adidas Campus. The line makes up a good portion of their lifestyle offerings and has been bolstered to a large extent by the efforts of collaborator Jeremy Scott.

The second most asked question about Jeremy Scott’s adidas Originals line behind “Where can I get those?” is probably “What is he thinking?”. Mind you that’s not necessarily a bad thing, it’s just necessary by-product of his increasingly bizarre projects that have been pushing the limits of what a sneaker is allowed to look like. Well now you can finally know what he’s thinking, as Complex recently got together with the designer to chop it up on a range of topics, including his creative process. Head over there for the full feature and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for all your JS info.

We all know that adidas has their fair share of wilder shoes thanks to the likes of Jeremy Scott, but don’t get thinking that the Three Stripes is all teddy bears and gorillas. One of their more refined silhouettes on the way is this adidas Originals Chord Hi, dropping in Spring/Summer 2012 as part of the upcoming Blue Collection. Opted for perforations to stand in for the side stripes, this hi-top sticks a deep blue suede on the upper along with a little leather hit on the back end for variety. Follow us after the jump to get a full look at the adidas Originals Chord Hi from the 2012 Blue Collection which should start popping up in the next couple of months.

Born in ’88…how old is that? Old enough indeed, as it’s about time adidas brought this classic runner back out for trainer fans worldwide. We’ve seen some newer iterations of the adidas Marathon but this one resurrects the OG look with nubuck and mesh paired with leather stripes on the side. The adidas Originals collection has long focused on the more lifestyle looks within their vault, so it’s nice to see them bring this runner back in fine fashion. Check out some extra photos of the adidas Originals Marathon 88 after the jump, but please for the love of sneakerdom do not make the Infrared comparison. If you’re feeling this pair then End UK has them up for preorder.

We’ve been giving you previews of the Burton x adidas Originals collection since the summertime, but it only seems fitting that just as the first snow is beginning to fall in those high altitude locales the capsule finally hits stores. This collabo wasn’t a question of just slapping a Burton logo on a bunch of adidas Originals silhouettes, the massive snowboard entity made sure that each of the models got specific slope-styled upgrades. The Vulc Low KZK’s for instance both feature wool lining on the insides for extra padding and insulation. Beyond that are two pairs of the boot-styled Winterball Hi KZK and the Vulc Mid KZK. We’ve got an extensive look at each of the shoes featured in the collection after the jump. Check out the detailed pics and hit up Caliroots, where all of the sneakers shown here are available.

NBA basketball was a simpler game, unscathed by off-the-court drama and bickering over millions of dollars. It was a simpler era for sneakers as well; preceding sneakers like the adidas adiZero Rose 2, Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011, and Reebok Zig Encore were performance sneakers that focused on the basics of foot protection like tighter laces and higher-cut construction, much like the inclusions in the adidas Originals Basketball Pack. Colored up in some team-based renditions, the adidas Originals Basketball Pack features classic adidas models like the Decade and High Post Mid – a nice reminder that the game of basketball has nothing to do with lockouts and contract disputes. Expect these now at select adidas Originals retailers; a full viewing of the entire set lies right ahead.

It’s officially September and that means that summer has already expired for a good portion of our readers. But if the back to school rush has got you down, at least think of it this way: it’s an excuse to cop some new kicks. Heading to class in the same old beaters is a no-no and adidas Originals has got you covered with a fresh pack of the adidas Campus 80s. The three sneakers from the ‘Back to Campus’ pack each rep a different school, with Texas, Stanford, and Georgetown all represented here. Think of it as adidas’ version of the Be True To Your School collection, with simple two tone colorways that pay homage to these fine establishments. And even if you aren’t affiliated with any of the three schools, it’s hard to pass up the clean suede and leather combos. Take a full look after the jump and cop a pair from the adidas Originals Campus 80s ‘Back To Campus’ Pack from select retailers like Chicago’s Leaders.

The adidas Originals x Star Wars collaboration has been going strong for several seasons now but never before have their combined efforts come together in such a markedly accessible way. As the designers turned to the frigid planet Hoth for inspiration, the marketing department realized that with a bit of humor, you can reach beyond the Saga’s core following and help the less sci-fi inclined appreciate George Lucas’ signature work as contemporary mythology (it’s funny to see a wampa mowing the lawn even if you don’t know what one is!). Reappropriating of symbols from the films in novel ways seems congruent with the evolution of this capsule, and you can see images of the entire set after the jump below. Click through for images of the adidas Originals Stan Smith 80s Mid ‘Vader’, the Campus 80s ‘Wampa’, the Forum Mid ‘Military’ and the Decade Hi ‘S.W. Hoth’, along with a trio of jacket options and let us know which is the best.
