The adidas Consortium category is pulling double duty tomorrow, with the return of the adidas Torsion Allegra marked by both an in-house style and a slick Solebox crafted style. Rather than leaning on any teddy bears, wings, or other wild accoutrements the sneaker plays the retro lane, breathing plenty of new life into this model given the clean blocking served up on both pairs. adidas Originals brings back a few more classic runners out of the vault for the coming year as a number of less mainstream models are set to make an impact on spring/summer 2013. Perhaps the most notable of the bunch is the adidas Originals Torsion Allegra, who gets in just in the nick of time for a 20th anniversary collabo with Solebox as a prelude of what’s to come when the calendar turns. It’s joined by the Tech Super and ZX 750 in a few new styles each along with the recently resurrected Phantom, and you can see a bunch more photos of the whole set after the jump.

The adidas Torsion Allegra continues to get the special treatment for its retro bringback, with two new pairs about to drop from adidas’ Consortium family. The setup consists of an in-house pair inspired by the Allegra S of 1992 along with a version curated by that cream of the German sneaker shop crop Solebox. There’s no denying the influence that Mr. Jeremy Scott has had as far as bringing more folks in to the adidas fold, but let’s not forget just how many classics they have tucked away that can turn heads as well as any teddy bear/winged sneaker. Case in point: the adidas Originals Torsion Allegra, a no frills runner from the early 90s that’s about to be back on the shelves. The first complete view of the Solebox x adidas Consortium Torsion Allegra is here, fully showing off how Solebox went to work on their latest collabo. The pair features a rather stealthy upper, with the color getting pushed out to the accenting-mixtures of red and green coursing through the outsole, lining, and back pull tab. The sneakerhead relationship to Solebox has often felt like dating someone clearly out of your league: they’re free to toy with your emotions and require a ton of effort in order to get a relatively limited payoff. One of Berlin’s best sneaker boutiques is known for their super-limited numbers and today they make good on another element of a well-established reputation and offer a tiny glimpse of what’s in store for another one. The Solebox x adidas Consortium Torsion Allegra will be among that model’s 21st birthday bringbacks, and though their teaser angles appear to reveal identical silhouettes, we might be looking at a new hybrid or revision with the second self-labeled ‘Torsion Allegra EQT’.
