The adidas Originals ZX 700 is following up on the Pressure Fused spring releases with more traditional styles for summer. This one adds stone suede to Running White nylon plus just a hint of red for a colorway that’s so precise it must be one of today’s, yet evokes a timeless sensibility thanks to the neutral color atop a classic silhouette. Finding these might be a little bit more difficult than your average pair of zx 700s, though; these are listed as a ‘Nordic Exclusive’ at SNS.

adidas Originals has done a great job in recent months of opening up its archives and bringing forth a greater variety of classic styles than ever before. One area where they’re still a little behind Nike Sportswear is with ladies colorways for the top old school runners, which the WMNS Air Max 1 has down to a science. The adidas Originals ZX 700 W could be a formidable response, as we see two new fairly feminine styles slated for a July release including one with a high-contrast feline print sockliner and another with a tonal Valentine’s-ish presentation. Check out both pairs in more detail below and stick with Sneaker News so we can keep you posted on US availability.

A suggestion that the welded SPRINTSKIN-ish construction is here to stay in the ZX lineup (and perhaps the adidas Originals catalog at large) comes in the form of a fourth colorway from a model we previewed in three styles earlier this month. The adidas Originals ZX 700 ‘Pressure Fused’ already looked great in red, white and blue, but this mix of Sunshine, Vivid Yellow and Electricity really draws the eye toward the sleek laminated sidewalls on this newest version. Click through to see more of the tonal yellow look below, then grab yours from Three Stripes retailers like Caliroots.

The ZX 700 just introduced a new modern welded update, but in this latest release, we see the classic Three Stripes runner reach to the past. Both in terms of its construction and colorway, the adidas Originals ZX 700 is a throwback. The former is obvious when you note the stitching in place of laminated seams as on the ‘Pressure Fused’ edition. The former doesn’t have to go back to the ’80s, but instead just to 2012 when a black and orange edition released with a slightly less high-contrast feel thanks to more white on the upper. Let us know how you feel about this bolder style once you’ve seen more photos below and stick with Sneaker News for word on US availability.

The adidas Originals ZX 700 has forged some serious momentum in recent months. The latest revelation follows up on the tech-ish ‘Pressure Fused’ trio with a colorway that looks like it could have been a 1980s original. But in retrospect, this burgundy, white and blue edition is more of a modern makeup whose taupe accents along with the other shades in question creates some significant vintage vibes. That’s a direct hit for the target market, so have a closer look below and look for these soon at select Three Stripes retailers.

Modern Three Stripes performance models have it everywhere you look, but adidas Originals hasn’t updated many of its classics with modern materials and manufacturing methods.
