Slow and steady wins the race, or so says the axiom that seems to be followed by the adidas Originals ZX 750.  Sticking with just one or two colorways each season, the ZX 750 makes the most of its appearances by bridging classic good looks with today’s tonal styling.  This newest makeup is close to what would happen if you took last summer’s blue edition and flipped the light and dark shades, which means this one will also be quite popular when it arrives at select adidas Originals this July.

adidas Originals just unveiled their ‘Spring Pack’ of heritage models, but longtime Sneaker News readers will remember that the Brand with the Three Stripes had previewed another set in a similar way not too long ago.  adidas Originals is letting more classics come to the forefront, but they haven’t completely put the brakes on the 1980s ZX running series that has anchored the catalog for a while now.  This latest adidas Originals ZX 750 was previewed back in December as one of a select few ZXes hitting retailers during early 2013, and this new style in black and Haze Yellow is sure to stand out thanks to its high contrast approach.  Let us know what you think after seeing more photos below, then grab yours from Kicks-crew.

adidas Originals ZX 750 – Running White – Vivid Red

The adidas Originals ZX 750 continues to be a regular part of the Three Stripes heritage catalog.  This latest colorway is reminiscent of the early 1980s, a tiny anachronism for this class of ’89 release that reminds us how much sneaker colorways started to change around the time of this model’s debut.  Have a look at how the range of white and grey tones paired with primary red and blue convey a sense of classic style with perhaps more grace than yellowing up the midsole, then grab new ZX750s from Blud.

adidas Originals brings back a few more classic runners out of the vault for the coming year as a number of less mainstream models are set to make an impact on spring/summer 2013.  Perhaps the most notable of the bunch is the adidas Originals Torsion Allegra, who gets in just in the nick of time for a 20th anniversary collabo with Solebox as a prelude of what’s to come when the calendar turns.  It’s joined by the Tech Super and ZX 750 in a few new styles each along with the recently resurrected Phantom, and you can see a bunch more photos of the whole set after the jump.

The adidas Originals line might be turning the most heads at the moment with the products from constant collaborator Jeremy Scott, but keep in mind that that umbrella designation also reigns in some no-nonsense classic runners from the Tre Foil lineage as well. So if you’re a purist then you can ignore all those wings, bells, and whistles and stick with the likes of the ZX series of runners. The latest in that vein to be spotted is this adidas Originals ZX 750, a pair taking on a pretty sparse black and white combo that gets spruced up the tiniest amount by the silver and yellow bits on the upper. adidas Originals ZX 750 – Blue – White – Red

It never reached the heights of some of its ZX series peers, but perhaps that’s what makes the above pictured Three Stripes classic runner so appealing to its core fanbase.  The adidas Originals ZX 750 has returned once more to show off its 1980s throwback styling, this tonal blue pair adding a USA/Olympic feel thanks to red and white accents.  We’ve seen so many sneakers this summer rocking these colors and it’s sure to continue as we approach the London opening ceremonies (not to mention 2016).  So these ZX750s are up against some serious competition, but there’s no doubting the old school charm you’ll see in more images after the jump, and they’re available now from retailers like Oneness.
