A second look at Kazuki Kuraishi‘s new project with Three Stripes brings along new designs and a longer name. And while the adidas Originals Retrograde Resistance 84-Lab collection is a name that demands further explanation, you can’t argue with the results at first glance. Kazuki remakes the adidas Originals Campus 80s, ZX 700, ZXZ ADV and ZX Riding Boot with low-key colorways crafted in premium materials, and you can see the whole spread after the jump. Kazuki Kuraishi has been relatively quiet in recent months after partnering with adidas Originals with some regularity over the past few years. Today we get a better sense of what to expect from the only models he has previewed for 2013 to this point, which were created in conjunction with British knitwear specialists CASH CA. Included in this set are three classics, the adidas Originals Campus 80, Torsion Allegras and the 380-inspired ZX ADV runner, all of which feature the ’84-Lab.’ designation that suggests these are a spiritual succession with Kazuki’s FA11 The Soloist. teamup (punctuation included).
