Next up in the sneaker custom factory is this AF1King production of the Nike Zoom Rookie inspired by the upcoming “Man of Steel” film. With a clear tie to Superman and some inspiration taken from 2011′s Air Jordan IV ‘Doernbecher’, AF1King takes the ‘Memphis Blues’ colorway of the Zoom Rookie to new heights by implemented the ‘S’ badge on the tongue with green kryptonite colorings on the tongue and outsole. Completing the design is the glow-in-the-dark moon pods and the tongue, giving off that attractive yet deadly hue of green. A gallery of this custom is right below so take a look and stay tuned for more Custom features and visit AF1King for more details on how to purchase.

There’s a reason why the hottest sneaker detail out right now is indeed the glow-in-the-dark outsoles and uppers. It’s synonymous with one of the best sneaker releases of the year and the fact that Nike’s used it so sparingly makes it all the more desirable. While ‘Glow’ hasn’t been as common as we’d like, sneaker customizers have gone ham with it, as seen here with AF1King’s ‘Spaceman’ customs of the LeBron 9. He opts for full Glow on the outsole, laces, Swoosh, and even on the speckling on the upper to create that starry night sky appeal. A gallery awaits you below, but head to his online shop to get ‘em on your feet.
