The Air Jordan 1 KO is a sneaker that seems destined to carry some shade of mystery forever, its nomenclature uncertain and the original ‘KO’ designation left up to guesswork at this point. Pictured here is one of those OG pairs that started the confusion, an Air Jordan 1 KO with the straightforward ‘Bulls’ look that of course swapped out the typical leather for a canvas treatment. Stay with Sneaker News after the jump for all the shots of this 1985 beauty and peep the price on the pair now from ogshoehead on eBay.

As Blake Griffin and his USA Basketball teammates just learned the hard way, the summer’s international roundball competition is serious business, even if you can still dominate your opponents at less than full strength. A far safer way of feeling a ‘knock out’ on the ‘Road to the Gold’ would be to lace up the Air Jordan 1 KO RTTG, a model whose shaded elements give us an unprecedented look at this relatively obscure Air Jordan Legacy preface. They’ve got a dynamic look, especially when compared to the colorways that just hit in June or the first ever retro two and a half years ago, so click through to see a few more angles and get ready when they arrive at select Jordan Brand retailers like CNCPTS next Saturday, July 21st.

Beginning July 6th, Team USA will embark on a hallowed ‘Road’ to the Olympic Games, where the NBA’s best players will represent the USA and defend its 2008 Gold Medal in Sydney. Jordan Brand will celebrate this heroic journey with an Olympic-inspired triumvirate of the earliest Air Jordans – two Air Jordan 1s and one Air Jordan 1 KO. Where will this ‘Road’ lead? To the Games, for sure, but to the Gold? Team USA is a clear-cut favorite, but the distance in competition has shortened considerably over the last decade, so this shouldn’t be just a walk in the park. The ‘Road to the Gold’ Pack has also been dubbed the ‘Road to the Games’, so we’ll keep you updated on the official title of this great set of footwear. Asian retailer Limited Edt has these available now, but expect these this Saturday at stateside Jordan Brand retailers.

Leading up to the Olympic Games is the World Basketball Festival – a grandiose three-city tour that will features the world’s best playing the world’s most exciting sport. Jordan Brand has placed a special focus on two models that occupy the opposite ends of the Jordan spectrum – the original Air Jordan 1, and the freshly designed Jordan Super Fly. This unique pairing will be Jordan Brand’s focus for each stop of the World Basketball Festival, which begins in Las Vegas, followed by Washington D.C., and concludes in Barcelona.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High and Super Fly ‘Las Vegas‘ is designed with early Vegas performers in mind, who wore black satin jackets and satin linings, while the ‘Dress Blues‘ commemorate the uniform and medals of decorated officers of the Armed Forces. The third and final set is a tribute to the 1992 Dream Team in a colorway inspired by a famous painting of a Spanish Bullfighter. The ‘Las Vegas’, ‘Dress Blues’, and ‘Barcelona‘ will release on three consecutive Saturday weekends beginning this Saturday with the ‘Las Vegas’, so continue on for a detailed look at the entire Jordan Brand World Basketball Festival Pack and let us know which of the three city-colorways you like best!
