The Air Jordan 1 in the original High seems to be getting all the love, but credit the Mid (previously dubbed the Phat, but has since shed that quirky name) for keeping the AJ1 an ongoing topic with Jordan Brand for years and years. This clean and simple “Cool Grey” colorway is perfect for those who want that casual look with that timeless Air Jordan appeal, with white laces, midsoles, and Wings logo completing one of the freshest AJ1s yet. If you’re looking to replenish your rotation, pick them up right now at spots like Rock City Kicks.

Are you ready for a patriotic Air Jordan 1 release for July? It appears that this sneaker might be playing that role between the mixture of fire red, true blue, and white across the upper and the month of their arrival. If that’s the case though, is the inclusion of elephant print just an effort to get an extra-tie in in the mix? Or is it perhaps some sort of GOP sneaker? The latter isn’t likely, but either way stay tuned to Sneaker News for more images and info on the “True Blue” Air Jordan 1 Mid and let us know what you think about this upcoming July release.

If you thought there couldn’t be a more eye-catching kids Air Jordan colorway than the upcoming Bright Citrus/Fusion Pink Fives, check again. In fact, with the exact same official colors, this new Air Jordan 1 Mid GS is considerably more ostentatious. It all comes down to colorblocking, and a distribution roughly inverted as compared to the Vs, the orange and pink shades co-starring with black in a supporting role and white on the midsole. Check them out up close below, then grab a pair from kicks-r-us on eBay.

Several early 2013 Jordan Brand releases have reached outside the traditional Chicago Bulls look to incorporate colors from teams against which Michael Jordan achieved significant milestones. We’ve seen Knicks and Celtics 1s with ‘Nike Air’, a VIII somewhere in the Knicks/Suns neighborhood and two AJ1 Mids that remind us of MJ’s first Championship. A counterpoint to the similarly-blocked ‘Lakers’ edition, this ‘Pistons’ Air Jordan 1 Mid shouts out the Eastern Conference power that stood as the final hurdle between His Airness and basketball’s ultimate prize. Click through for more including the skull/crossbones insole evoking the infamous late ’80s Detroit Bad Boys’ t-shirt, then grab yours at JB retailers like Social Status.

With the ‘Grape’ Air Jordan V retroing for just the second time this May, Jordan Brand has applied the iconic style’s signature palette to a variety of styles leading up to the release date. Here’s one that’s actually a bit closer to the ‘Grape’ V’s counterpart in the ‘Aqua’ VIII, thanks to the Air Jordan 1 Mid relying upon a black upper as the base for Grape Ice and New Emerald accents. This model also has an intriguing mix of textures, so you’ll want to click through to see more up close, then grab yours from NikeStore.

The Air Jordan 1 continues to grab at colors from around the NBA in 2013. So far we’ve seen the Bulls, Knicks, Celtics, and most recently the Lakers all get their combos ported over onto MJ’s first silhouette. This time around appears to be a Detroit Pistons homage thanks to the blue and white sections getting paired up with a rather dark shade of red (76ers could work too). Get more on this Air Jordan 1 Mid right after the jump and stay tuned to see when they’ll be releasing here in the US.

The Air Jordan 1 has been very busy in early 2013, with everything from ‘NIKE AIR’-branded OGs to hybridized versions that one-up the AJF series. One key theme of late has been team-oriented colorways both college and pro, and the latest is a ‘Lakers’ Air Jordan 1 Mid. Bridging the first Jordans with the first foe Michael vanquished the NBA Finals, this ‘Showtime’ yellow look is considerably bolder than 2009′s LA-themed AJ1 Phat Lows. There’s a Pistons edition on tap as well as a reminder that MJ pushed aside both of the late ’80s powerhouses on his way to the top, so click through to see the Lake Show and stick with Sneaker News for more info on the pack.
