AIR JORDAN 1 PHAT The Air Jordan 1 Phat is a slightly retooled version of the classic Air Jordan 1 silhouette. The primary difference in the design is the extra padding included on the inside of the sneaker. The Air Jordan 1 Phat has been the go-to model for Retro selections of the standard Air Jordan 1 silhouette in recent years.

After viewing the Black/Neon Air Jordan XX8 during this Monday’s unveiling event, we’ve noticed that contemporary Air Jordan colorways are truly a far cry from the ‘Black/Red’ and ‘North Carolina’ versions that we saw with the Air Jordan 1. Despite this adjustment to the changing of times, University Blue will always be a pillar of Air Jordan heritage, so a ‘UNC’ colorway of the Air Jordan XX8 would be met with open arms. Another release of the ‘college pack’ of the Air Jordan 1 Phat is this UNC version, which adopts that OG colorway with a slightly shorter stance brought on by the Phat. We’ll keep you updated on a solid release date, so check out the detailed photos in the meantime and stay tuned for more updates.

The Air Jordan 1 Phat ‘Rip-stop Pack’ that Sneaker News gave you an in-depth preview of in late September has begun to hit stores. This new colorway just arrived at retailers, offering Air Jordan 1 fans a nice mix of black and purple with a light grey interior and Swoosh – almost like a mix of colors from the Air Jordan VII ‘Flint’ that Michael Beasley recently took out for a spin. Oneness is one of the Jordan Brand retailers that has ‘em now, so check out the new images below and cop them in stores now.

It’s pretty sick how Jordan Brand’s “NCAA Pack” of Air Jordan 1 Mids is resembling the iconic ‘Be True’ series of the Nike Dunk High. This Navy/Yellow version should immediately point you towards the original Michigan colorway, but these are actually designed for Marquette! With the combination of Varsity Maize/Midnight Navy, it would be easy to mistake these for a Wolverines joint, but these are 100% Golden Eagles. February 2013 is ETA for these AJ1s so stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated on more college colorways of the Phat.

A series of Air Jordan 1 Phats partially built with a weather-ready rip-stop nylon are set to roll out the next two months, all of which were previewed as part of our Holiday 2012 Jordan Brand Preview. Of the four, this Olive-inspired colorway was the most eye-catching, as it flipped around the original Air Jordan IX ‘Olive’ make-up into a clean Air Jordan 1 that can easily fit into any sneaker rotation. ‘Olive’ will be a resounding theme throughout several Jordan Brand footwear models this November, but if you’re liking the AJ1 Phat version, cop them at Jordan Brand retailers now as they’ve already popped up at Oneness.

Jordan Brand will rehash the original ‘Be True To Your School’ collection with its own set of Dunk-inspired Air Jordan 1 Phats this Spring 2013 season. We already showed you the Georgetown installment, but check out this sick Marquette version that without question resembles one of the original schools of Nike’s Be True capsule; not to confuse Marquette with the similarly-colored Navy/Yellow Michigan, these Marquette joints will act as their pre-game casual options before they hit the hardwood with Jordan performance footwear. A few more shots below, so take a look and stay tuned for more of Jordan Brand Spring 2013 releases.
