AIR JORDAN 1 PHAT The Air Jordan 1 Phat is a slightly retooled version of the classic Air Jordan 1 silhouette. The primary difference in the design is the extra padding included on the inside of the sneaker. The Air Jordan 1 Phat has been the go-to model for Retro selections of the standard Air Jordan 1 silhouette in recent years.

Here’s a complete look at what the Jumpman has in store for us once school is back in full force; the Air Jordan 1 Phat in Cool Grey/Black (some retailers already released ‘em a little over a month ago) will officially hit retailers this September, as will two new colorways of the Jordan Flight 45 High Max. Two Trunner models (the Dominate and Flash) will be available in basic Black/White form, and five colorways of the Aero Flight will be available as well. The upcoming Air Jordan IX ‘Johnny Kilroy’ retells one of the most entertaining stories in Michael’s eventful career, when he and Nike teamed up to put a lighthearted spin on his early retirement in 1993. Johnny Kilroy was Michael in disguise, gaining recognition for his Jordan-like performances in semi-professional basketball games (that is, until the Bulls added Kilroy to their roster). That Silver/Black colorway of the Kilroy IXs is certainly one of the more anticipated newbie Air Jordans set for a release in the second half of the year, but if you want to get a jump on that colorway, a GS-only colorway of Air Jordan 1 Phat just came available. The greatness that is Michael Jordan actually started before he stepped foot on an NBA court. Many of his coaches point to the 1984 Olympics as Michael’s true coming-out party, although by then he proved to be one of the most dangerous scorers in nation (his Championship-winning shot in 1982 proves that). Regardless, the Air Jordan 1 is still heralded as the match that lit the massive flame, and the upcoming ‘Metallic Gold’ colorway celebrates all the ‘Golden Moments’ of his illustrious career. More Air Jordan goodies arrive as we get a look at the Air Jordan 1 Phat in White and Metallic Gold, courtesy of Jordan Brand. Previously dubbed the Air Jordan 1 ‘Golden Moment’, this Air Jordan 1 combines ‘clean’ with ‘class’ with the two-toned White and Metallic Gold upper, similar to the Air Jordan VI of the upcoming ‘Golden Moment’ Pack. These are set for a release in August at Jordan Brand retailers, so continue on for additional angles at this must-have Air Jordan 1 release and stay tuned for more updates on Jordan Brand’s Fall 2012 footwear releases.

The Air Jordan Retro is the monthly highlight for Jordan Brand (and for some, the sneaker game as a whole), but let’s not forget that there’s a still a nice collection of other Jumpman-branded top-quality, high-performance kicks available as well! Two new colorways of the Jordan D’Reign will drop as will three new releases of the well-ventilated all-purpose Trainer in the Jordan RCVR and Trunner Dominate. Much has been made of Michael Jordan’s 1992 Olympic gold medal with the original Dream Team, but don’t forget that MJ already earned his first before he even stepped onto the NBA hardwood.
