Time out. Did you see Jennifer Lopez rocking the Air Jordan 1 Phat last week? Chances are your eyes didn’t even make it down to her feet, because based on the reception to that Celebrity Feet sighting, our readers were fixated on something else (in all fairness, that ‘something else’ was rather phat indeed). It’s tough to get any man’s attention away from a fine woman like J-Lo, but we’ll give you the heads up on these two upcoming Air Jordan 1 Phat releases that are currently penciled in for April; one’s got an Anthracite/Club Purple-Spark ‘Raptors’ colorway while the second features White/Peat Moss-Cargo Khaki for that ‘Armed Forces’ motif. A buck and a nickel is what’ll cost you to snag one pair, and as stated before, you won’t get a chance until April comes, so check ‘em out in the meantime and let us know which of the two you like better.

Back off Kim Kardashian, Beyonce, or any other female celeb who has gained notoriety for their bootylicious curves – Jennifer Lopez IS the OG. The former dancer on In Living Color has risen to stardom in music, movies, and television thanks to her rotund and plump backside, and just looking at these recently snapped photos of J-Lo during a recent vacay to Rio tells you that she’s still got it. What a nice way to end the week – seeing some Air Jordans on one of the most gravity-defying and physiologically awe-inspiring women of all-time. On Tuesday, Sneaker News showed you the Air Jordan 1 Phat in a new ‘Knicks’-esque colorway with patent leather and canvas twill uppers. Here we have a look at the official product images released by Jordan Brand, and already you can tell these are a must-have for Air Jordan 1 and even Nike Dunk fans. The translucent orange outsole adds a nice energetic punch to the shoe, while the white midsoles and inner lining provide a sense of calm to this loudly constructed pair of kicks. The official drop for this release will go down on February 24th alongside the Jordan Spiz’ike in the same colorway, so check out the additional angles below and let us know what you think.

If you’ve been paying attention to the upcoming Air Jordan releases, this colorway should look at bit familiar. You’ll recall the sky blue look and creamsicle orange bottoms from this Jordan Spiz’ike, and now it looks like the bright ‘Do the Right Thing’ looking combo is making the move over to the Air Jordan 1 Phat as well. The padded update of the Air Jordan 1 sees a liberal application of patent leather, with the glossy look dominating the upper together with a nice mesh finish. Closing out the Spring 2012 season for Jordan Brand is yet another impressive collection for the Lifestyle, Training, and Basketball categories. The monthly Air Jordan 1 staple hits us with Varsity Red and Cool Grey, while a White/Cement-inspired Jordan Flight TR ’97 has the potential to turn some heads. Three exciting colorways of the Jordan After Game II will be available, as will two new Jordan RCVRs for the runners. The Air Jordan 1 Phat is a model you tend to see replicated in a few different colorways of a particular theme whenever they pop up every quarter or so. The style for spring 2012 offers a full grain leather atop multilayered mesh, plus a Elephant print Swoosh on a two-toned colorway plus white midsole. It’s a formula that worked to perfection on the black and Action Green joints that just dropped, and while the Cool Grey and Uni Blue makeup that we previewed alongside those before the turn of the year that we still have yet to see again, there’s another representing this breathable style for spring. The AJ1 Phat really gets at the earliest part of the Air Jordan Legacy thanks to a Varsity Red construction plus Cool Grey accents that echo the AJIII’s unique sense of balance.
