It looks like the Air Jordan 1 ‘Shadow’ will be joining the already exciting group of Air Jordan 1 colorways on tap for 2013. This quick catalog shot promises that this rather muted Air Jordan 1 colorway, one that came out back in 2009 if you’ll recall, will be back once again. What’s more, the style code attached indicates that it will be one of those retros bearing the ‘Nike Air’ branding on the tongue (that would be the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG for those keeping track of the nomenclature. This year’s addition of a strap cemented the Air Jordan 1‘s place in Jordan Brand as their Air Force 1 and Dunk fill-in. The two different versions are similar yet different enough that pictured side-by-side as above, we get immediate insight into how flexible the design really is. The classic strapless version comes to us in black leather and the smoothest of grey suedes. The suede is lightly tumbled for texture. Another pair includes the removable strap and goes with LA Lakers colours plus a good amount of white. Both are available now at retailers like Vault.

Although many sneakerheads have expressed concern over the seemingly never-ending wave of Air Jordan 1 colorways that have been dropping lately, there are definitely a few color schemes that have managed to stand out from the rest. This Black/Shadow Grey version definitely belongs in that category. The shoe sports a traditional look with a Black full-grain leather upper that is contrasted by sections of Shadow Grey on the Swoosh and toe box, as well as on the heel and ankle panels. It’s hard to see in these pics, but the Shadow Grey areas are covered with a faint Elephant print, giving the otherwise simple style a nice stylish touch. These aren’t scheduled to hit stores until September, but you can grab a pair early from shi2p on eBay.

This Air Jordan 1 Retro High was part of the Air Jordan 1 fall 2009 preview that we gave you a few weeks back, and now we have some detailed images to admire. This version uses a Black full-grain leather upper with sections of Shadow Grey Elephant print on the toe box, Swoosh and rear panel and matching Grey accents on the tongue branding and laces. The kicks are then finished off by a White midsole and Black outsole, helping to give these kicks a classic look with some nice subtle flavor courtesy of the faint Elephant pattern.
