While Jordan Brand has been using the number “23″ as a milestone Anniversary for its Air Jordan models (for example, 2013 is the 23rd Anniversary of the Air Jordan V), the Air Jordan 1 has been celebrating year in and year out. Not that we’re complaining, since the Air Jordan 1 is indeed an ageless wonder and some great colorways like this Saturday’s YOTS release are waiting for us. Unfortunately, getting a pair of the Air Jordan 1 ‘YOTS’ will require you to purchase the entire pack, which also includes perhaps the craziest Jordan Melo colorway ever created. Today, Jordan Brand officially unveils its YOTS Collection featuring the iconic Air Jordan 1 and game-changing Jordan Melo M9. Using a special colorway that mixed Blackened Blue, various Reds, Volt, Citrus, and Royal Blue, Jordan Brand found inspired in the snake’s uncanny sixth-sense ability to track down its prey using heat detection. The Jordan Year of the Snake Collection will release on February 2nd with an MSRP of $280 (the official Nike release calendar notes $300) and will come packaged in this luxurious box. The first two-pair pack of Air Jordans in 2013 looks to be the Jordan Brand ‘Year of the Snake’ combo. The set will box together both the Air Jordan 1 ‘Year of the Snake’ and the Jordan Melo M9 ‘Year of the Snake’. The two pairs feature a similar colorblocking apparently inspired by reptilian heat sensing hunting techniques. Sneaker News broke the news regarding the 2013 Year of the Snake offering by Jordan Brand by revealing that the Air Jordan 1 and Melo M9 would indeed be part of a two-pair Pack. Releasing on February 2nd for $280, the Jordan Brand Year of the Snake Pack will be one of the more sought-after items this Spring season as it revisits the popular ‘Pack’ set-up. However, we can clearly see that the construction of the box is quite different this time around as the two shoes will apparently be laid side-by-side rather than in a stack. Just last night Sneaker News gave you a first look at the Jordan Melo M9 ‘Year of the Snake’, designed with the snake’s heat-guided hunting tactics in mind. It was revealed by Jordan Brand reps that the Year of the Snake will indeed be a two-pair pack consisting of the aforementioned Melo release and this Air Jordan 1 Retro High, which features a rapid-fire mix of punchy colorways using patent leather, nubucks, and synthetic leathers.We’ll keep you updated should there be any change in the release procedure (a separate release, for example), but for now, keep in mind that these are set for a release on February 2nd with an MSRP of $280 for the entire Pack.

If you thought the Air Jordan 1 ‘BHM’ was wild then prepare to be even more blown away by the Air Jordan 1 ‘Year of the Snake’. The pair aligns the retro category with the yearly zodiac rotation once again following the 2012 hiatus. Interestingly enough there is none of the typical scaly treatment to be found. Instead the pair puts on an eype-popping colorway that mixes up a deep blue, bright citrus, and hyper red.
