AIR JORDAN 1 The Air Jordan 1 was the first ever Air Jordan sneaker and debuted in 1985. It was banned by the NBA for breaking league uniform regulations. The NBA fined Michael Jordan for every game he wore them, but Nike paid all the penalty fees. The Air Jordan 1 is the most Retro'ed Air Jordan in history. Air Jordan 1 Mid – Wolf Grey – Tropical Teal

While most of the attention is aimed at the weekend releases regarding retros and the latest Jumpman signature, just because this Air Jordan 1 Mid is missing out on the classic ‘Nike Air’ tongue branding or a more traditional colorway shouldn’t deter you from picking it up. The sneaker has been steadily releasing new colorways since late summer, and here we are with a nice tonal Wolf Grey pair. The shoe ditches traditionalism in more ways than one, as the toebox and tongue are dressed in a canvas for a near Retro KO take on things. Throw in a vibrant splash of Tropical Teal on the ‘Wings’ logo and lining and this is a fairly formidable AJ1 Mid. What do you think? Grab a better look after the click and pick up the look from Politics.

Air Jordan 1 Mid Nouveau “Space Blue”

October 1st, 2014 by | No comments

air jordan 1 mid nouveau space blue Air Jordan 1 Mid Nouveau Space Blue

The Air Jordan 1 Mid Nouveau continues to be one of the more slept on silhouettes as far as the Air Jordan 1 is considered. Despite having some of the slicker looks that we’ve seen on MJ’s first this year, they’ve been ignored just a bit on account of their lack of a “Nike Air” tongue tag. We understand that to some extent, but that shouldn’t mean that every pair without that branding is immediately rendered chopped liver. Find photos of the “Space Blue” take on the shoes with us after the click and then purchase them for yourself from 95soleman on eBay.

A Rare Look at the Jordan Chicago

jordan chicago 1 A Rare Look at the Jordan Chicago

Have you ever seen this strange Air Jordan 1-looking shoe before? The pair is a prototype that’s been billed as the “Nike Chicago” and the “Jordan Chicago” and that has a couple of different stories attached to it as far as the origin is concerned. For the most part, reports pin them as an alternate to the Air Jordan 1 or the Air Jordan 2 – the former makes a bit more sense given the low odds of Nike coming up with such a similar sequel for MJ’s second shoe (Then again, maybe that’s why they never made it past the prototype stage). Continue reading for a better peek at this incredible piece of Air Jordan history and let us know in the comments if you like the design.

4 lab 1 jordans 06 Another Look at the Air Jordan 4Lab1 Black/White

The lab series of Air Jordans gets a little awkward when reaching down to the Air Jordan 1, as that sneaker has already had a ton of hybrid looks applied in the past year or so. With that being said, the Air Jordan 4Lab1 shown here still manages to be vastly different from the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’89 that previously paired up those two designs. Go up close on the details for this all-over netted, icy soled shoe after the click and watch for word on their release right here at Sneaker News.

Air Jordan 1 OG “Hoyas” from 1985

air jordan 1 hoyas Air Jordan 1 OG Hoyas from 1985

You know all about the “Hoyas” Nike Terminator, but how much do you know about this original Air Jordan 1-looking pair that was also made for that school? The exact history on these is a little unclear, and they might not belong in the Air Jordan category proper due to a technicality regarding them predating that shoe (Also you’ll notice a lack of actual Air Jordan 1 branding). The story goes that the Hoyas shoe here was made for Georgetown to wear in lieu of the Dunk back in 85, but the design was instead used for MJ’s first signature. Have another look at this rare piece of Air Jordan history below and let us know if you think Nike should bring these back.
