Air Jordan 1 Mid – Gym Red – Black – White

After going on a sort of hiatus, the Air Jordan 1 Mid has returned to form thanks to an Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” like approach that saw a simple black and yellow effectively bring the silhouette back to prominence. And while this latest release isn’t technically a Legends of Summer look, we can take solace in knowing that Jordan Brand continues to push the all red sneaker trend. While the “Gym Red” Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG will hit later this month, the Air Jordan 1 Mid will also be getting a predominantly red look as an almost iridescent side panel look reflects light. Add in black on the lining and Swoosh and this pair should be an easy pick up. Hit the click for a better view.

Air Jordan 1 Mid – Black – Vibrant Yellow

There’s a number of Air Jordan color palettes that have appeased fans over the years, and one of the forgotten favorites definitely has to be the black and yellow designated as ‘Thunder’ to most. While an Air Jordan XIV is returning to store shelves baring a striking resemblance to the Air Jordan 4 colorway, now it looks like an Air Jordan 1 Mid will be joining the ranks. The silhouette has been missing in action as of late, perhaps due to the influx of the ‘Nike Air’ branded Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, but we’re glad to see it back. The shoe keeps it simple enough with an all black upper to showcase the vibrant yellow branding all the more while a surprising dash of wolf grey lingers on the outsole and inner lining. Stick around after the click for a better look at this upcoming Air Jordan 1 Mid style and let us know if you’re feeling this pair by penning your thoughts in the comments section.

Air Jordan 1 Mid – Black – Venom Green

June 16th, 2014 by | 1 comment

air jordan 1 mid black venom green 01 Air Jordan 1 Mid Black Venom Green

So far it’s been a rather quiet Summer for the Air Jordan 1 Mid. We usually get more than a handful of releases in the silhouette, but seeing as how the sneaker is appropriate for any season, the recent resurgence of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG and even how big of a fall this Mid had, the sneaker’s hiatus has been justifiable. That being said, the sneaker is set to make a return in a new black and venom green reminiscent of the Air Jordan 10 colorway that hit earlier this year. The Mid seems to be the testing ground for new materials as well, as a patent leather like sheen arrives on the side panels and toebox to contrast the bright green on the branding. Get with us after the click for more of this Air Jordan 1 Mid and while a release date hasn’t been set just yet for this pair be sure to stick with Sneaker News for all of your Air Jordan updates.

The Air Jordan 1 ’99 represents a meeting of two important shoes for Michael Jordan: the Air Jordan 1 that he came into the league with and the Air Jordan 14 that he went out of the league with. Of course the Air Jordan 14 has been sort of dominated by new colorways rather than old ones in the 2014 retro previews we’ve seen so far, so it only makes sense that the Air Jordan 1 ’99 first show up with such a foreign palette. See more on the Air Jordan 1 ’99 below and watch for them to release on July 4th (Dog sold separately).

It will be interesting to see how long pairs like the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’86 will survive. Jordan Brand could either let these hybrid styles stick around for the rest of this year, or keep them around as a much more permanent part of their retro offerings. The latter certainly makes sense as a method of helping more and more folks get access to the flavor of a retro release that might not be so easy to acquire. Familiarize yourself with this latest pair of Air Jordan 1s in hybrid form below and remember that Social Status will have them on 6/21.

Designed by Jordan’s Children: The Air Jordan 1 “Family Forever”

air jordan 1 family forever inspiration 2 Designed by Jordans Children: The Air Jordan 1 Family Forever

It’s a tough task to surprise Michael Jordan, the man behind the hottest sneaker line on the planet, with a pair of his own shoes. Jordan’s three children, Marcus, Jeffrey, and Jasmine, were faced with the challenge when they were presented the opportunity to design a pair of the Air Jordan 1 as a Father’s Day tribute to father Michael. The denim upper is a nod to Michael’s penchant for dressing casually – especially in jeans – while the multi-colored eyelets act as a symbol for the three siblings (blue, Jeffrey; red, Marcus; yellow; Jasmine). A video with the Jordan family is just below, so check out the rare look into the clan and stay tuned for the release of the Air Jordan 1 on Saturday, June 14th.
