AIR JORDAN 1 The Air Jordan 1 was the first ever Air Jordan sneaker and debuted in 1985. It was banned by the NBA for breaking league uniform regulations. The NBA fined Michael Jordan for every game he wore them, but Nike paid all the penalty fees. The Air Jordan 1 is the most Retro'ed Air Jordan in history. The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Knicks” colorway that dropped in January was one of the best Retro pick-ups of the Spring season, but based on this sample of the Air Jordan 1 Mid, there could have been two colorways for Knicks fans to get down with. This sample features a slightly upgraded color-combo with a black heel-panel (sorta reminds you of the mid-late 90′s Knicks uniforms with the black panels that went down the sides of the tops and bottoms) and a ripstop/synthetic leather combo in a tonal Royal Blue. Check out additional photos below and see the available sample pair from fresh2defkicks6 on eBay.

In 2010 Jordan Brand released a funky pair of Air Jordan 1s called the Air Jordan 1 High J2K which featured a uniquely built upper with some wayward stitching on the upper. Jordan Brand followed that up two years later with another Air Jordan 1 and a duet of the Air Jordan VIIs in Obsidian and Filbert – three tonal colorways that were fairly popular upon the release. This alternate sample of the Air Jordan 1 High J2K has some slight differences from the released version in that the lattice of stitching is square-based with diagonal lines whereas the released version has a triangular tessellation pattern. In addition to the stitching, this sample has an orange chenille swoosh and a blue inner lining. It’s a lot to follow, so check out the photos below as well as a picture of the released version and see the full listing from jesusisbackintown on eBay.

The majority of the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’93 colorways we’ve seen to date (And the ’97 as well) have been ones tied into specific colorways of the model that they were inspired by. This upcoming pair (That Rip Hamilton accidentally previewed) isn’t as overt as the rest of the crowd, but if anything the Air Jordan VIII “Suns” has to be the base model here. Instead of the black upper though there’s a mixture of greys in place-the “wolf” and “cool” variations to be exact. Get another look at the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’93 “Bright Citrus” below and watch for them to release on May 4th, 2013.

Some unique materials arrive in this well-arranged Air Jordan 1 Mid release that just recently got unveiled, utilizing a dark grey mesh on the ankle, canvas on the toe-box, and a perforated metallic sheen on the Swoosh. It’s all put together by the grey suede material on the upper for a pretty clean colorway and an overall fresh take on the AJ1 Mid. This new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Mid is beginning to arrive at retailers around the globe, so check out the additional angles we have after the jump and cop a pair now from empire_sneakers07 on eBay.

If you’re not a Zig Zag user and Raw papers are more your thing, then this Sab-One custom is for you. The pair uses the Air Jordan 1 as its base and slaps on a crisp brown colorway inspired by your favorite organic papers for do-it-yourself “cigarette” making. The pair even gets the hemp fiber aspect in there via the rugged looking laces. We’ve seen Nike SB come with some 4/20 nods from time to time, but we all know that Jordan Brand is never going to take it that far so we’re glad to see a custom creaiton fill the void. Reconvene after the jump to see extra shots of the Air Jordan 1 “Raw” customs and tell us how dope these are in the comments.

Just yesterday we showed you a pretty interesting sample of the black/green/red Air Jordan 1 Retro ’93, and although a release hasn’t been confirmed, we do know that another pair with reds and greens is indeed releasing very soon. Joining that “Playoffs” colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’93 is this energetic mix of White, Electric Green, and Red, featuring contrast stitching on the Swoosh and on the midsole. Although the red/neon has no bearing on the OG colorways of the Air Jordan VIII, it’s still a pretty clean colorway with the Neutral Grey toe-box providing that “Hare”-like appeal. Expect these on June 1st, so check out the additional angles below for a better look.

Python-skin extraordinaire JBF Customs went on a slightly different route for his latest custom, creating a “Venetto” Air Jordan 1 inspired by the Air Jordan VII “Bordeaux” and the Nike LeBron X “Cork”. Rife with luxurious details like burgundy leather and genuine cork supplied by a North American company with over 150 years in the field, JBF’s Air Jordan 1 “Venetto” is yet another impressive masterpiece from his portfolio, but this time around, he got a little help from Regularolty, who had the custom “Incomparable” wooden box made. The auction is now live and these are a 1-of-1 in size 10 (custom snapbacks are also available on JBF’s online store), so check out the gallery below and get your bids in on the listing from jbfcustoms on eBay.

The Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe” releases on May 25th and will feature Nike Air on the tongue. That means that this OG offering will likely retail at $140 like the previous releases, and based on this latest photo, an exta set of white shoe-laces will be part of the package. We last saw this colorway arrive in Mid-Top form as part of the Old Love/New Love pack from several years ago, but the original high-top cut will without question be a much bigger draw. Keep your calendars marked for May 25th because this Air Jordan 1, like every other AJ1 that dropped this year so far, will fly off the shelves.
Update: The Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe” will release on May 25th.
