Air Max on an Air Jordan isn’t something to frown at, is it? Visible Max Air was a prominent feature on the Air Jordan III-VI, a span of four Air Jordan signature shoes that some consider to be greatest of all-time. Visible Air wasn’t displayed on Bruce Kilgore’s Air Jordan II, so for the Air Jordan 2.0, it’s introducing the groundbreaking technology in the biggest way possible by slapping on more visible Air than any other Air Jordan in history. This new colorway of Grey/Black isn’t new to the Air Jordan color palette, but that sleek golden Max Air unit gives these a color profile unique from any other. A similar colorway of the Jordan Trunner Max will also hit stores, so cop these for good tomorrow at Jordan Brand retailers like Millenium Shoes, or snag ‘em now on eBay.

In order to elongate the legacy of the Air Jordan, Jordan Brand has embarked on a unique endeavor in which select Air Jordan shoes have undergone a somewhat drastic change without losing the essence of the shoe. The Air Jordan 1, for example, was re-created into the Air Jordan 1 Alpha and the Air Jordan Retro V.1, and most of Air Jordans were fused with the Air Force 1 to create the Jordan Force Fusion line. The most recent of these remastered Air Jordans is the Air Jordan 2.0, which features an Air Jordan II upper with a full-length Max Air unit, and the new colorway of Black/Classic Green-Varsity Red-White will officially drop tomorrow at Jordan Brand retailers. Check out the new images below and pick up a pair tomorrow when they hit stores, or grab them now on eBay.

The Air Jordan II is one of those hate-it-or-love-it designs and the topic of hybridizing or otherwise updating the Air Jordan Legacy elicits similarly polarized responses, so could we gret a Linnaeus effect here with smaller groups even more passionately moving toward or away from this spot in the middle of their Venn diagram? It would seem that the dominant sentiment on the Air Jordan 2.0 could go either way, but this crisp Gucci-leaning colorway will continue to win over fans just as the ‘Quarterfinals’ edition did a short time earlier. Click through to get a better view of this Air Jordan 2.0 and look for them at select JB retailers including Brooklyn’s new Red Carpet boutique.

So just yesterday, Sneaker News gave you a nice thorough look at the Air Jordan 2.0 in the Grey/Black/Gold colorway, which featured somewhat of a ‘distraction’ at the very beginning. For those who are able to look through all that smoke and focus just on the sneakers, we’ve got some additional information regarding the third colorway of the Air Jordan 2.0. Priced at $160, the Wolf Grey/Black-White-Metallic Gold colorway of the Air Jordan 2.0 will released on August 13th, one week after the release of the ‘Gucci’ colorway. Some readers commented earlier that elephant print on an Air Jordan shoe not called the Air Jordan III just ‘doesn’t fit’, but it works quite well here considering it’s contained on the mudguard of the shoe. Will you cop these? Let us know and watch for these to hit at Jordan Brand retailers in three Saturdays from now.

Michael Jordan scored thirty at Madison Square Garden on Christmas Day 1986 but the Knicks still managed to eek out a 1-point victory. MJ was the kind of hyper-competitive player who would mentally replay any setbacks to fuel his quest for greatness, but while we’re on the topic of imagination, it’s not too crazy a stretch to picture His Airness playing in a modern day Yuletide tip rocking this Air Jordan 2.0 colorway. They’re a reminder of how far things have progressed from the foundation Mike was so instrumental in laying; Jordan simply didn’t have holiday specific colorways or even more than five in a single season — a far cry from today’s Kobes and LeBrons. The AJ2.0 gives you a chance to imagine a different world and then see how well the combination of classic style and modern tech performs and this colorway hits select Jordan Brand retailers on Saturday, August 6th.

Jordan Brand’s latest hybrid endeavor, the pairing of Air Jordan legacy silhouettes with Air Max technology, has resulted in some of the nicest fusions that we’ve ever seen. The Air Jordan 2.0 has worked particularly well, with the full length Max Air cushion coming off as a seamless update to this piece of Jordan history. Fortunately, the colorways keep coming, with this one sporting a few design elements that have long been revered in the JB catalog. The cool grey/cement pairing has these looking like the Cool Grey Jordan 3′s from 2007, but with a bit of gold accenting to give them some regal flair. Continue reading for a full look at this upcoming Air Jordan 2.0, and if you wanna lock down a pair early hit up overseas retailer Rstor.

Sneakerheads by and large aren’t OK with changing the materials on a classic like the ‘Black Cement’ AJ3; can Jordan Brand get away with a sole swap on its immediate predecessor? The reception thus far for the Air Jordan 2.0 seems to suggest the answer is ‘yes’, its next colorway an impressive take on the old ‘Gucci’ standby palette. The key to nailing this look was the use of vibrant red and green tones rather than the deeper ones that tend to be more common, and though any white sole can’t stay pristine forever, it adds a nice finishing touch. Jordan Brand’s 21st-century remastering of the Air Jordan II stirred up quite a debate, but with some of our readers calling it “better than the original”, perhaps there’s a bit more to the Air Jordan 2.0 line than we thought. The design of the Air Jordan II matches well with the sleek look of the full-length 360 Max Air unit, and the recent surfacing of two newer colorways - the Black/Green/Red and this Grey/Black/Gold version – brought some more positive reaction. Here’s another look at the Air Jordan 2.0 in a DMP-esque colorway of Grey/Black/Gold with elephant print on the mudguard; the obvious design highlight is the use of the Air Jordan III-specific print, but don’t overlook the gold Max Air unit or the smooth nubuck upper. Stick with Sneaker News for release information as it develops and let us know which Air Jordan 2.0 colorway you like best. via MarqueeSole.
