There was a time last summer that it wasn’t too far off to think that Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake would join the ranks of Eminem to get their respective influences across an Air Jordan retro. One of those was even the similar Air Jordan 2 Em got his respective lyrics painted upon, only this time the all red aesthetic focussed on the premium materials to match the Suit and Tie monicker of duo’s tour in the Air Jordan II “Legends of the Summer”. Featuring suede on the toebox, a patent leather strip on the side panel, and faux-snakeskin reminiscent of the retro of the Nike Air Python that followed later that year, only a few Instagram-savvy followers of the tour were able to get their hands on a pair. Get a look at this ultra rare Air Jordan 2 after the click and if you want this Justin Timberlake x Jay-Z inspired pair to be yours, know that you can pick it up from vicenyc on eBay.

Spotted at the Nike World Basketball Festival in Chicago last month with this jaw-dropping display of Air Jordans from 1 through 2012. It makes complete sense that Jordan Brand selected this base of White and Red, because Chicago is, after all, Michael Jordan’s “home” city. You may have seen similar iterations of the Air Jordan Legacy in this pristine white/red composition, and if you happened to stop by the Nike WBF in the Chi, you probably caught these in the Jordan Brand experience space. air jordans just blaze fall 2014 Just Blazes Air Jordan Sneaker Rotation For Fall 2014

When Just Blaze isn’t chipping in on projects like the Packer Shoes x Saucony “Snow Beach” release, he is apparently accruing quite an impressive range of Air Jordans. The super producer just took to Instagram to show off this strong set, which even includes upcoming goodies like the “Ferrari” Jordan 14 and the Air Jordan XX9, which we can only assume are about to be put into rotation given the mention that “Jordan season begins” in the caption. Tell us down in the comments if you’re impressed with the shoes that Just Blaze is working with here and stay tuned to see what else he’s got in the closet.

Redditor Looks Back At His Membership in the Jordan Brand Flight Club

jordan 3 eminem flight club 2008 Redditor Looks Back At His Membership in the Jordan Brand Flight Club

In the mid-late 2000s, Jordan Brand began Flight Club, an internet campaign that welcomed loyal customers to an exclusive online hub featuring a virtual Michael Jordan “trophy room” and much more. Anyone who remembers being part of the Flight Club will recognize the exclusive releases that were dropped (the Air Jordan 15 and the Air Jordan 2 “Eminem” being the most notable), but being a member of the Flight Club had its perks, apparently. Redditor pickyourbeard gave the r/sneakers sub a first-hand account about his membership at Flight Club, which eventually became defunct in 2009.

The Jordan Flight Club has recently extended to a group of Jordan Brand fanatics on Instagram (you’ll see them dropping some exclusive photos here and there). It seems that “Flight Club” is just an anchored label for these types of outreach initiatives, because the name actually originated in the late 1980s when Nike handed out mail-in postcards to anyone who wanted in. Just a note: Jordan Brand Flight Club has no affiliation with the sneaker consignment shop of the same name. Read the entire piece on Reddit and let us know if you think Jordan Brand should open up another members-only club of this nature.
