Good news, patriotic sneakerheads: July’s Air Jordan V Retro in white, red and blue won’t be the only Air Jordan Legacy model released in that colorway this year. But it will remain the only retro, as the Air Jordan 2011 Quick Fuse comes in from the cutting edge to join the Independence Day party in this V-red, white and Midnight Navy getup. Unlike the similarly colored AJ5s in patent leather, this model has a heartier feel thanks to tumbled leather on the toe and rear framing the Air Jordan 2011 Quick Fuse’s Hyperfuse side panels. In 2006, the Mavericks took Game 1. In 2011, the script was flipped. Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh navigated the Miami Heat to a Game 1 victory on Tuesday night, breaking away in the fourth quarter after a tight 40 minutes of play. LeBron James (LeBron 8 PS Home PE) and Dwyane Wade (Jordan Fly Wade Home PE) combined for 46 points, 19 rebounds, and 11 assists, capping off a great duet with an awe-inspiring alley-oop at the end of the game. Mike Bibby, who has quietly been debuting many Jordan Brand footwear releases, wore a White/Red PE colorway of the Air Jordan 2011 Quick Fuse. Dirk Nowitzki led all scorers 27 points while wearing the Nike Hyperdunk 2010 PE, and Shawn Marion provided great support while wearing the Air Max Fly By. They already dominated the 2010 holiday season and became the year’s single biggest sneaker release, but did you know there’s another ‘Cool Grey’ Jordan Eleven on the way this year?! It’s not the Air Jordan XI this time around, but rather, the Air Jordan 2011 Quick Fuse, a model that absolutely looks the part thanks to patent leather on the toe and heel to go along with the icey outsole. They’re technically Light Graphite instead of Cool Grey and their Hyperfuse-ventilated uppers are obviously more tech-oriented than the AJXI’s nylon mesh, but they’ll still attract double-takes when people see them as ‘just another’ pair of Cool Greys and then have to check back to see what’s really going on. Earlier today Sneaker News showed you an all-new colorway of the Air Jordan 2011 Quick Fuse in Black/Photo Blue. Adopting similar color-blocking patterns, here’s a look at yet another new Quick Fuse in Black/Varsity Red; a black upper with a patent leather toe-box is matched with a varsity red heel – also in patent leather – and a midsole/outsole combo of varsity red/white. The Quick Fuse is just one of the beginning examples of Jordan Brand footwear designs implementing Nike technology, so what else could be in the works? Check out the detailed images of this new colorway after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more Air Jordan 2011 updates. via in52.
