air jordan 2011 south beach customs 4 Air Jordan 2011 South Beach Customs By ShowtimeXII

The ‘South Beach’ theme has been insanely popular since we were graced with its existence in late 2010, so one could make the argument that the Teal/Pink combination will go down as one of Nike’s immortal colorways. Always the focus of custom jobs, South Beach comes up yet again with this cleanly done Air Jordan 2011 custom job, with the molded-leather upper only adding to the beach-like effect. Aside from the obvious alterations in color, ShowtimeXII on NT made a simple structural change by creating conventional shoe-lace holes as seen in the LeBron 8 (the Air Jordan 2011 has a hidden no-show lacing system. We’ve already seen Jordan Brand take the South Beach route with some of its CMFT releases, so do you think the brand should make it onto an Air Jordan? Check out the additional shots of this custom below and let us know what you think.

Air Jordan ‘Rainbow Pack’

air jordan rainbow pack1 Air Jordan Rainbow Pack

It all started with that Air Jordan IV, showing up with the monochrome blocking on top that was unlike any Air Jordan colorway we’d seen before. After that the Air Jordan XVI and Air Jordan XII did the same, suggesting that the super colorful pairs were part of some over-arching theme never to make it to retail, sort of in the same vein as the ‘History of Flight’ or ‘Pantone’ series. Well folks, Pandora’s box has officially been opened-it turns out the set spans quite the range, starting at the Air Jordan 1 and reaching all the way up to last year’s Air Jordan 2011, created strictly for display purposes in the Spring 2011 season just like the aforementioned collections. Every two pairs along the way sports a slightly different shade, with the 25 separate models included pretty much spanning what the rainbow has to offer. Hit the jump with us to check out the crazy Air Jordan ‘Rainbow Pack’ courtesy of brokeonjordans on eBay and let us know which pair among them you like the most. Photos: brokeonjordans

2011 was in one way or another a ‘career year’ for Ray Allen. His capturing of the NBA’s All-Time 3-Pt. Record was the perfect cap to a legendary career that is unlikely to be replicated for a long time. Ray Allen’s professionalism and devotion to the game of basketball is what makes him one of the greatest players to ever hit the hardwood, but credit Jordan Brand for tapping that potential when they brought him on as a Jordan Brand athlete. In celebration of Ray Allen’s record-breaking moment, Jordan Brand created this special edition colorway of the Air Jordan 2011; it features the now-familiar ‘Ray’ logo on the tongue with the magic number 2561 printed beneath. The mudguard also emphasizes the pressed leather technique by colorizing it in two different tones of gold and green.
