Mike Bibby is the undisputed champion when it comes to low-profile player exclusive Jordans. Other guys like Jared Jeffries have been done that road a few times before, but never to extent reached by Mr. Bibby. Shown are a couple of Air Jordan VIII pairs for Jeffries that were crafted to cater to his stint in the Big Apple-the first one that is. As Jeffries is currently without a home for the upcoming NBA season, is there any chance that we’ll see a rise in interest for his player exclusives if his time in the league really has concluded? Stay tuned to find out and then check out the price tag for these Air Jordan VIII Low set from elbato22 on eBay.

One of the biggest attractions at Nike DC that opened last October is this amazing display of Air Jordans done up in classic Georgetown Hoyas colors. Located on the top-most floor, this great display stands opposite of the Jordan section, giving customers an exclusive museum-like exhibit alongside the retail experience. While we were in-store for the Nike KD VI iD preview session, we took a quick moment to snap some photos of this legacy of Air Jordans inspired by the basketball powerhouse school located just minutes away. Luckily, after visiting Nike DC, we stopped by Georgetown University to chat with legendary hoops coach John Thompson and his son John Thompson Jr., who is currently the Hoyas head coach. Check out the gallery of each individual Air Jordan from the set and let us know which you like best.

LeBron James has just completed a two-year run the likes of which the basketball world has rarely seen.  He’s still got a ways to go, though, if he wants to truly become King, because two championships with a gold medal and a couple of MVPs is elite, but it takes all that and more including two three-peats to get to MJ status.  The ‘Playoffs’ Air Jordan VIII Retro reminds us of the first of those back-to-back-to-backs almost exactly twenty years after the Chicago Bulls captured their third title.  Check these out in new images after the jump, then get ready to grab yours this Saturday at select Jordan Brand retailers like Oneness.

air jordan viii rip hamilton pe Air Jordan VIII Rip City PE

All of the Air Jordan VIII colorways we’ve seen hit retail in 2013 have been centered around NBA squads. Of course it’s mostly been Bulls stuff, but that Suns colorway sort of has us wondering about what other teams colors could help the shoe out. This Detroit Pistons look gives you a could idea of you could expect were they going in a little bit further than just the “Suns”. Keep in mind this isn’t a sample, rather a player exclusive crafted way back for Rip Hamilton. Get more on the Air Jordan VIII “Rip City” special for Hamilton after the jump and then add them to your collection courtesy of faredalways on eBay.

Air Jordan VIII “Playoffs” – Beauty Shots

20 years ago to the day, Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls defeated the Phoenix Suns by a one-point margin in the 1993 NBA Finals. The threepeat was complete (the first one at least) and Michael Jordan got them there with an incredible 41 points-per-game average across the Series. While the Bulls were more or less the consensus best team in the league at the time, there were some doubts surrounding the possibility of a third championship in such a short span thanks to the strength of their Finals opponent the Phoenix Suns (Charles Barkley on their side). The Championship win would eventually become a bittersweet one, as His Airness’ first retirement from the game following the death of his father looming over the franchise. Of course, on feet for Michael Jordan during that 1993 post-season was the Air Jordan VIII “Playoffs” – a celebrated Air Jordan original that hits stores for the third time in history.
