AIR JORDAN XX8 The Air Jordan XX8 is the 28th sneaker in the Air Jordan legacy series. The Tinker Hatfield/Josh Heard designed sneaker was unveiled to the media on December 3rd, 2012. The release date for the Air Jordan 28 is February 16th, 2012, at a retail price of $250.

The Air Jordan XX8 continues to impress us with the dazzling colorway showcase seen over the All-Star Weekend, and while the ‘Red Elephant’ and ‘Bamboo Camo’ colorways aren’t confirmed for a release, we do know that the white/black “Joker colorway is set for arrival very soon. Although ‘Joker’ isn’t an official tag for this color-combo, it does feature that cool Canyon Purple/Electric Green that was seen on the All-Star Pack by Jordan Brand. Both the zipped-up and rolled-down look has been working for the XX8, but the latter seems to be the better option thanks to the off-colored inner bootie. No doubt one of the tougher events to find your way into at this weekend’s 2013 NBA All-Star weekend was Michael Jordan’s 50th birthday party. The star studded event serendipitously lined up with the arrival of the Air Jordan XX8, an alignment reflected by the pairs popping up on the red carpet. Here’s another style we’ve not seen before, a black and white take on the thermal imaging camouflage pattern that’s been done in red, blue and the green ‘Night Vision’ getup Russell Westbrook wore in the 2013 NBA All-Star Game. The 28 days are up, which means we’ve arrived at the Air Jordan XX8, that brand new sneaker that had quite the successful launch at this weekend’s 2013 NBA All-Star celebration in Houston. Of course by now you’re familiar with more than just the black and green colorway thanks to our extensive coverage of the preview pairs that have popped up. We’re continuing to keep you updated on the Air Jordan XX8, today bringing you another look at the leafy Air Jordan XX8 ‘Bamboo’ that sprouted up (See what we did there?) at the All-Star set up in Houston yesterday. The pair actually pulls some cues from Jordan Brand’s home of Portland and their status as a green city, as the bamboo utilized comes direct from a local company. Since the kickoff of the 2013 NBA All-Star Weekend, there has been no shortage of new Air Jordan XX8 colorways popping up left and right, and here we have a look at the latest to surface. This pair is on Russell Westbrook‘s feet right now during the Saturday night events and features the familiar “Why Not?” slogan that appeared on various Westbrook PE’s while a member of the Nike roster. We’ll have to wait to see if Russ sticks with these for tomorrow night’s game or if some more surprises are in store, but for now you can get a better look at the Air Jordan XX8 “Why Not?” PE after the jump.

What’s that you say? Even more Air Jordan XX8 colorways? Yep, Sneaker News has you covered with that. This time around it’s the Air Jordan XX8 ‘Origami’, a sneaker that, like so many other we’ve revealed in the past couple of days, pushes on its beholders that graphic capability inherent to this 28th Air Jordan legacy series release. This version is apparently just a concept sneaker at this point, and not expected to release anytime soon, but you know we’ll keep you posted if that changes. The camo category for the Air Jordan XX8 has just further deepened with the entry of the yellow installment pictured here. This all new Air Jordan XX8 was just worn by Jordan Brand athlete Maya Moore in the Celebrity All-Star Game, and will release on March 2nd. What’s more, the Air Jordan XX8 ‘Blue Camo’ and the Air Jordan XX8 ‘Red Camo’ will also hit retailers on that same day.
