A lot of vintage sneaker geeks get pumped up when some rare finds surface, so how’s this brand new pair of the Air Jordan AJKO in Black/Red? We were fortunate to receive a Retro release in this same OG colorway last year, so it’s amazing to see that this pair, nearly three decades old, is in such great shape. The last time we showed you a pair of these, they were in a size 9.5, but for the sneaker collectors looking for larger sizes, this brand new pair is a size 13! Check out the gallery below and see the full listing as well as the reasonable price from jakethesnake312 on eBay.

We recently showed you a funky sample of an Air Jordan 1 prototype with an Air Jordan II outsole (that MJ actually wore in a game). The AJKO is another variation of the 1 that has gotten some nice attention since it made a legendary comeback in 2010, and with the 2012 re-issue of the original Black/Red colorway, let’s take a look back at an OG and see if we notice any differences. Can you spot any? These AJKOs are in incredibly pristine condition so check out the gallery and see what the asking price is from jake93854 on eBay.

Just like the Air Jordan XII ‘Cool Grey’ and NSW ‘What The Max’ Pack from last weekend, it appears this weekend’s big Air Jordan releases are getting the bump yet again from Nikestore. As of right now, the Air Jordan 1 KO pairs along with the Jordan Son of Mars, officially scheduled for a June 2nd release, will not be available this weekend at their online store, with a yet undecided future date in the works. Do you prefer this new second-chance approach and do you think we’ll see it more often going forward? Let us know in the comments below and we’ll keep you updated when Nikestore makes these available at a future date.

Joining the original Black/Red colorway of the Air Jordan 1 KO is this ‘new’ colorway that borrows the popular ‘black-toe’ colorway of the Air Jordan 1. Believe it or not, this colorway isn’t a KO original, but it sure seems that way and consumers will likely be drawn to this release simply for that reason. On June 2nd, two colorways of the Air Jordan 1 KO will release, so the dilemma of ‘this or that’ will certainly rise up once you spot these side by side at Jordan retailers. Which will it be – the original Black/Varsity red, or this fresh new take on the Chicago Bulls? Check out official Jordan Brand images below and let us know if you’ve come to a decision.

Earlier this week we hit you with a release date for this original Air Jordan from 1985, but it’s time to take a closer look at each individual pair. The 2010 releases of the AJKO were the surprise hits of that year, but we imagine these won’t exactly sneak up on people because the AJKO and the Air Jordan 1 in general has been an intensely popular pick – and what better than this original ‘Banned’ colorway? These are destined for stores this June 2nd at select Jordan Brand retailers, so take another look below because you’ve never seen this version in this condition (remember those originals we showed you last weekend?).

The first weekend of June should set the pace for an outstanding line-up of sneakers set to arrive throughout the Summer months, and what better to kick it off with some classic canvas-uppered Retros? The two June 2012 Quickstrike releases of the AJKO were first reported just last week, and after a confirmed release date of June 2nd at Asian retailers, it appears that the U.S. release date will be the same as American shops will also carry both Retro releases in two Saturdays. These will be available at select Jordan Brand retailers as a Quickstrike release, and while both carry that ‘OG’ vibe with their baseline Bulls colorways, just one of the two is an actual original. Can you spot the OG? Photos: gallery

Throw in the AJKO in the list of OG Air Jordans slated to hit in the next coming months, and although it’s very clear that these don’t have the appeal like, say, the Air Jordan IV or Air Jordan VII, don’t make the same mistake by passing on these like you did with the first AJKO Retro in 2010! Sneaker News filled you in on the upcoming QS release in the coming months, and for now, it appears that Asian retailers will indeed drop these in early June. Will U.S. retailers follow suit? You can be Sneaker News will keep you on top of that release date, so check out these new angles of both upcoming Quickstrike AJKO releases and let us know which of the two colorways you like better! Ready for some more Air Jordan heat for this Summer? Arriving at select Jordan Brand retailers in the coming weeks as a Quickstrike drop are two Air Jordan AJKO releases; the AJKO is one of the more mysterious Air Jordan models of all-time, but 2010′s re-issue proved to be wildly popular and was considered one of the best sneakers of the year. It appears another original Air Jordan AJKO in the Black/Red is set for a return, as well as another Chicago Bulls-inspired colorway with a White/Black toe, taking after one of the original Air Jordan 1 releases. You can find both at select Jordan Brand retailers very soon so check with your local spot and we’ll keep you updated on a firm release. Photos: gallery2
