Dwyane Wade’s first Jordan Brand signature hit NIKEiD earlier this month when the Air Jordan Fly Wade became available for your custom 1of1 design. Upon reporting the announcement, Sneaker News showed you a few sample pairs and asked if you planned to craft a pair using one of the Air Jordan Legacy’s classic colorways. And it seems that’s exactly what NIKEiD Japan has done here, showcasing a series of Fly Wade iD colorways that includes an Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’ homage along with a couple classic Chicago Bulls looks. What would it be like to go shopping at your local mall and find out that you can right there on the spot grab a couple limited edition colorways from Jordan Brand’s lightest signature basketball sneaker ever? That seems to have happened to in select cities where Foot Locker’s House of Hoops specialty locations have started offering two Air Jordan Fly Wade exclusives. The first is between May’s general release and Dwyane’s playoff PEs, a black and red look that sees its distinguishing red ankle collar light up thanks to reflective 3M. Another pair with the same blocking comes out of left field with its blue accents, which seems fitting given the overall surprise of this release. Click through to see more images and let us know if you were able to find these at your local House of Hoops. via NT

It’s pretty hard to ‘quietly’ average 25 points per game in the NBA, but that’s what Dwyane Wade managed to do during a campaign when preseason celebrations and locker room tears often overshadowed brilliant basketball. Will LeBron’s original South Beach colorway hang over the latest Air Jordan Fly Wade just like the Decision’s specter this season? Sneaker News readers seem to have strong opinions on the black Fly Wade with Pink Flash and Filament Green accents, but the real test will ultimately be which pair maintains a stronger legacy (and resale value). Click through to see a bunch of detailed images, be sure to stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release date, and if you can’t wait till then grab one of the few available right now on Kicks-Lab.

Earlier today Sneaker News gave you the notice of a special event at the House of Hoops in Dadeland Mall in Miami. If you’re not in the area, you can still celebrate the launch of Dwyane Wade’s first signature shoe because two colorways of the lightest basketball sneaker ever created by Jordan Brand will hit stores tomorrow. Both the Pimento/White-Black and Black/Varsity Red-Dark Grey editions of the Jordan Fly Wade are set for a wide release, which falls just in time for the Miami Heat Championship push (up 2-0, they’re pushing hard!). Sneaker News already gave you a first-hand look at the official media launch event last month, so now’s the time to welcome Dwyane Wade to the Jordan Brand for good by adding the Fly Wade to your collection and basketball repertoire. More images of both colorways await you below, so take a look and watch for these at Jordan Brand retailers tomorrow or right now on eBay.

What sets the Jordan Fly Wade apart from the bunch is that it’s the lightest performance basketball shoe ever created by Jordan Brand. With the Fly Wade, Jordan Brand continues its iconoclastic heritage by pushing the envelope further into the elite tier of footwear, and with Wade pouring in a healthy 66 points in Games 1 & 2 in the Eastern Conference Semi-final match-up against the Boston Celtics. Tomorrow, at the House of Hoops in Dadeland Mall, Miami, you can experience the Jordan Fly Wade during a special in-store event hosted by Kevin Hart, who you might recognize as ‘Specialist H‘ in the Dominate Another Day saga. Continue reading for more event info and don’t miss out if you’re in the Miami area!

More Round 2 Games were scheduled in the prior two nights, with some interesting developments already in the works. The Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1, while the Miami Heat took a commanding 2-0 lead in their series. The team with the 2011 League MVP was defeated by the surprising Atlanta Hawks, led by Joe Johnson’s scorching performance, and the OKC Thunder clapped loudly in Game 2 by evening up the series with the biggest upset story of the 2011 Playoffs – the Memphis Grizzlies. Some of the notable kicks from the last two nights included the Nike Hyperfuse 2011, worn by Lamar Odom and Russell Westbrook, the LeBron 8 V/2 ‘Home’ PE worn by James (Jones, no LeBron), Carlos Boozer’s two-toned Hyperdunk 2010 PE, and Joe Johnson’s Jordan Prime 5 PE. Of course, there’s plenty more to see below, so take a look and stick with Sneaker News for more NBA Feet coverage throughout the 2011 NBA Playoffs. via Yahoo!.
