It seems like no sneaker is safe from the random re-stocking: that massively coveted Air Jordan III ’88 retro will be restocked on Saturday, May 25th at 8AM EST. The upcoming restock is the latest in a string of random arrivals that have brought back some of the most sought after styles, a topic we touched on in our “What Do You Think?” series just a couple of weeks back. In fact, the Nikestore re-stockalypse that went down back then combined with this upcoming one marks two more times that the Air Jordan III ’88 with the “Nike Air” branding will be back around. Keep in mind that reported retailers so far include Foot Locker and Footaction, both of whom will be releasing the Air Jordan III ’88 Retro restock on Saturday, May 25th at 8AM EST. Stay tuned for further retailers and check out what’s available already on eBay.
UPDATE: Nikestore will also restock the Air Jordan III Retro ’88 on May 25th.

The Air Jordan III “Fire Red” 2013 retro is another of the surprise Air Jordan III pairs we’ve got to look forward to this year. We say surprise because, let’s face it, nobody expected the coveted Air Jordan silhouette to be back so soon after the pretty thorough retro treatment that spilled out back in 2011. As you can see the pair is looking pretty on point, keeping intact some of the more minute details like the fire red hit under the tongue and the recently brought back hang tag. Continue reading for the full teaser and tell us if you approve of the “Fire Red” Air Jordan III for 2013 so far.

A$AP Rocky is the kind of guy who isn’t afraid to shout out sneakers in his lyrics. Most of the time though he’s talking about a pair of Jeremy Scott adidas or some high end stuff that costs a car payment. Ending up just a little bit more pedestrian, Rocky shows up here with the Air Jordan III on feet in the white/cement colorway. Right by his side Swizz Beatz holds up the high end, wearing some green paisley business from Givenchy. Get the full images of these New York hip-hop figures in their fancy footwear right after the jump.

It appears that the massive “XX8 Days of Flight” set of Air Jordans given away by Jordan Brand has finally begun to make its way into the hands of the winners. You’ll recall that entry involved snapping a pic of yourself on Instagram using #XX8DaysofFlight wearing the Air Jordan model corresponding to that day. The black and green sneakers have popped up across Instagram, as the lucky Air Jordan enthusiasts who received their pairs have been eager to show them off (and it looks like Jordan Brand unknowingly selected one user to receive two pairs). Now that the pairs are out there, it will be a test of will power to see who ends up keeping these one of a kind sneakers in their personal collection and who ends up taking the “other” route to cash out, although the 1-of-1 factor might be to tough to let go! Check out most of the Air Jordan “XX8 Days of Flight” pairs that have been doled out right after the jump and tell us in the comments which pair is your favorite.

The deep stories and events that shadow every Air Jordan in history is what made the Retro such a booming success, and as far back as 1994, Nike made sure that we were reminded of the message behind each design. Since the first Air Jordan Retros in 1994 during MJ’s first retirement to all OG and Retro colorways that hit stores in the late 90′s and 2000′s, a tw0-sided post-card detailing a brief history of the shoe as well as an iconic flashback image of the times came included with the shoes; these cards have been referred to as Retro Cards, and while some may have not given them much though, some sneaker collectors did their best to gather them all. With the Air Jordan Retro Card making a surprising come-back with the upcoming Air Jordan VIII Retros and the possibility of more Retro Cards with future Retro releases, it’s about time we took a look back at every single Retro Card that Nike ever put out – from the first ones in 1994, to the latest ones that came accompanied with a Doernbecher release. Enjoy this throwback piece below and let us know which you’re missing from your set!

You no doubt are already aware of how involved Tinker Hatfield is with his University of Oregon alma mater. Recently that involvement has led to the production of plenty of Air Jordan retros, some for their football squad and some for the devoted Oregon fans known as the Pit Crew. This white pair was one of the former, making them all the rarer on campus out in Eugene. This Air Jordan III “Oregon” also gets a special upgrade in the form of Tinker Hatfield’s signature. Spacy sneakers seem to be more and more popular these days, as the Nike folk continue to riff off the immense popularity of the whole “Galaxy” theme.
