Did the best custom sneaker of the year arrive on December 31st? We’re not going to pass judgment on that (you can in the comments though) but there is a strong case to be made for the Air Jordan IV ‘Python’ by JBF Customs. The concept kept the Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’ colorway that you know and love intact while turning up the sneakers with a crazy luxury look via that beautiful snakeskin treatment (and don’t forget the red lambskin liner). The good thing is that we’ve got another look at them and some info on how to purchase a pair. They will be up for grabs tonight at JBF Customs in very limited quantities. Get the HD gallery on this Air Jordan IV after the jump .

You’d think that right about now would be the time that every rapper and their mother breaks out their pair of the Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’ to show off just how easy of a pick up that was for the rich and famous this holiday season. Sticking to a pair that’s every bit as classic from a couple of months back is Nas, shown here out in Vegas with the Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’ on feet. Do you concur with Nasir’s tacit promotion of the Air Jordan IV over the Air Jordan XI as the better ‘Bred’ release? Let us know and hit the jump with us for the full photo set.

Do you like looking at Air Jordans? Do you like look at Jennifer Lopez? If you answered yes to the previous two questions then we’ve got something right up your alley. J-Lo was recently spotted down in Puerto Rico doing her best at a charity football game-the Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’ on her feet. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Lopez laced in some retro heat and it’s good to see that she’s entering into that realm once again with such a classic pair. Continue reading for all the photos of Jennifer Lopez in her pair of Air Jordan IVs.

When the Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’ came back this year it of course let down a certain wistful section of the population hoping against reality that the Nike Air branding would be back. We can appreciate the original look but how many have actually owned an Air Jordan IV made in that fashion? Still some hands raised likely. Here’s a harder one, how many have owned the 1989 original? If you’re in need of some nostalgia this is the place, with an auction recently popping up offering just that a condition that definitely reflects is age. Click through with us to check out this OG pair of the Air Jordan IV sporting the ‘Bred’ look and let us know what you think of the pricetag currently on the auction from footageberkeley on eBay.

Snakeskin print isn’t new to Nike kicks (remember the Air Python from the 1980′s? Bangers!), but it’s certainly on a resurgence these days with a bunch of Air Force 1 releases coming our way as well as the sick anaconda material on the Air Yeezy 2. Snakeskin doesn’t happen very often on the Air Jordan, but sneaker customizer TheShoeSurgeon took on the recently released Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’ and went full snakeskin on the upper to give these technological designs a severe lifestyle appeal (especially with his sick label embroidered on the tongue and on the hang-tag). These kid-sized customs are definitely worth an examination, so peep the images below and hit up TheShoeSurgeon to get your own pair done!

Last night was a good one for Jay-Z, as he sat courtside with wife Beyonce and watched his Brooklyn Nets trump the New York Knicks in the first meet up between the teams, jumping their crosstown rivals to become the second best team in the East. Many a watchful eye noticed that Jigga was rocking the Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’ throughout, a bit of a throwback moment if you remember that classic Sean Carter photo of him squatting in the same sneaker, dookie ropes hanging off his neck. Click through to check Jay-Z in this Air Jordan IV and let us know if you approve of his courtside fit in the comments.

So this past week of releases, with Black Friday falling right at the center, was one of the most jam-packed spans of sneaker offerings we’ve ever experienced. Air Jordans, LeBrons, Air Force 1s, SB Dunks, Foamposites – anything and everything for several distinct sneaker tastes was made available, and considering there was so much to cop, you might’ve missed out on some. Kudos to you if you managed to pick up all that you were looking forward to, but if you missed out on a few items, check below for a quick review of what hit stores and get your pairs before they become scarce.

It’s here folks – the long-awaited Black Friday release of the Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’. It’s the iconoclast of sneaker design and brazen representative of one of the most bad-ass game-winning plays in the history of sports, period, and even twenty-three years after its initial debut, it is still considered to be the single greatest Air Jordan sneaker of all-time – although the patent-leather loyalist might have some points of argument against that statement. Tomorrow’s release will cap off an amazing year for the Air Jordan IV (even with the Thunder IVs looming), so be sure to get your pair on lock because these won’t last long. If you don’t want to risk missing out, get yours now from shoejocky on eBay.
