The word has been out for a while now that 2012 will be a big year for the Air Jordan IV. Who knew that the heavy retro treatment would trickle down so steadily to the GS category though? Between the recently unveiled ‘Ultraviolet’ colorway and the Air Jordan IV GS ‘Voltage Cherry’ shown here, the young ones have a decent duo of colorways exclusive to them. Featuring the familiar ‘For the Love of the Game’ logo hit towards the heel, these will definitely be a standout from the sea of rosy red kicks on their way for the month of February. Follow us after the jump to get a better look at this Air Jordan IV GS, which will hit Jordan Brand retailers like Atlanta Got Sole this Saturday, February 4th.

New York Giants superstar Victor Cruz and hosts of BET’s 106 & Park participated in a fun segment on yesterday’s show, as Cruz and Rocsi engaged in a heated ‘salsa’ battle in front of the live audience. As you know, Victor Cruz’s touchdown dance is now a household move, but does Rocsi pull it off better? During the segment, all three wore some heat for the shoe; Cruz broke out the Nike LeBron 9 ‘China’, Rocsi danced around in the Air Jordan IV GS ‘Voltage Cherry’, and Terrence J wore the Jordan Spiz’ike ‘Bordeaux’. We all know that the big retro release for the Air Jordan IV on everyone’s mind for 2012 is the White/Cement colorway, but those may be a bit of a tough sell for the grade school set. No worries though, you’ll be able to lace them up in Air regardless thanks to this hot-pink drop that caters a bit more to the little ones. The Air Jordan IV GS ‘Voltage Cherry’ brings back the For the Love of the Game logo towards the heel, with the embroidered branding coming as one of the few reprieves from the dominant cherry tone of the upper. Follow us after the jump for a detailed look and let us know if these will be copped come their February release. via SA

White/Cement mania will take over the month of February, but for the younger lady Jordan fans who admittedly may have no nostalgic attachment to the OGs, these Voltage Cherry joints will likely evoke more of a burning desire. Featuring a tonal Voltage Cherry upper with the symbolic ‘Love of the Game’ heart-shaped basketball logo stitched on the heels of the shoe, the Air Jordan IV GS ‘Voltage Cherry’ should be hugely popular in the Size 7Y-and-under demographic and near the top of Valentine’s Day shopping lists. These are indeed set for a February launch, but if you can’t hold out that long, cop this size 7 sample in advance from el-store on eBay.

That’s the latest question in the early availability scene, as the ‘Voltage Cherry’ Air Jordan 4s have managed to make their way to specialty retailers just as many of the other Retros and new colorways are apt to do these days. This pair’s pink nubuck design is eyecatching to be certain, but with a fireplace’s worth of heat on tap for the holidays season, Jordan Brand got the February release date right, especially with this pair’s ‘FTLOTG’-style heart/basketabll embroidery details. Check them out in the images awaiting your click on the jump below and if you’ve got the nine-ninety-nine-ninety-nine to pony up for the Voltage Cherry AJ4, grab one of the super limited supply from Kicks-lab.
