Every time we see teal and purple together, sneakerheads automatically think of ‘Grape’ (or maybe ‘Aqua’, depending on your age and/or personal preference), and a similar level of singular association can be expected from here on out between the pink/soft blue combo and South Beach, Miami. This new Air Jordan IV GS features black nubuck on the upper like several classic Jays, but all your attention is likely to end up on the Dynamic Blue and Vivid Pink elements, and how the latter’s midsole speckles draw your eye toward the white sections below. A high-energy alternative to the ‘Thunder’ and ‘Bred’ editions that’ll drop soon, this kiddie AJIV can be seen in greater detail after the jump below.

In discussing our most recent look at the upcoming ‘Military Blue’ retro, Sneaker News noted that the grade school sizes on the Air Jordan IV come with an augmented design whose most prominent difference is its AJ3-ish tooling. Here’s one colorway you’ll only see with the kiddies’ build, an Ultraviolet-accented design whose layout is probably most similar to the ‘White Cement’ OG thanks to its leather base. But the blocking is quite a bit different even without the unavoidable midsole differences, and all these little changes combine to create something that succeeds in its core aim: to offer a fresh yet familiar design that while not overtly feminine, is sure to draw more than its fair share of lady sneakerheads when they release in about six weeks. We all know that the big retro release for the Air Jordan IV on everyone’s mind for 2012 is the White/Cement colorway, but those may be a bit of a tough sell for the grade school set. No worries though, you’ll be able to lace them up in Air regardless thanks to this hot-pink drop that caters a bit more to the little ones. The Air Jordan IV GS ‘Voltage Cherry’ brings back the For the Love of the Game logo towards the heel, with the embroidered branding coming as one of the few reprieves from the dominant cherry tone of the upper. Follow us after the jump for a detailed look and let us know if these will be copped come their February release. via SA

White/Cement mania will take over the month of February, but for the younger lady Jordan fans who admittedly may have no nostalgic attachment to the OGs, these Voltage Cherry joints will likely evoke more of a burning desire. Featuring a tonal Voltage Cherry upper with the symbolic ‘Love of the Game’ heart-shaped basketball logo stitched on the heels of the shoe, the Air Jordan IV GS ‘Voltage Cherry’ should be hugely popular in the Size 7Y-and-under demographic and near the top of Valentine’s Day shopping lists. These are indeed set for a February launch, but if you can’t hold out that long, cop this size 7 sample in advance from el-store on eBay.

This upcoming Girls-only Air Jordan IV colorway, scheduled for a release this coming December, is a continuation of a themed colorway that actually hit stores last Holiday season. You might remember the same combination of colors on an Air Jordan XIII as well as an Air Jordan 1 Anodized for Girls, and for the ladies out there who made an effort to cop those two releases, consider the Air Jordan IV a definite cop. Add in the ‘For The Love Of The Game’ heart-shaped basketball logo on the heel, and you have perfect Air Jordan shoe that the men can’t touch! We’ve got an additional set of images below, so take a look and stick with Sneaker News for more Jordan Brand Girls releases. via marqueesole.
