AIR JORDAN IV WHITE/CEMENT The Air Jordan IV White/Cement is an original colorway of the Air Jordan IV that was first released in 1989. The ‘cement’ part of the name refers to the speckled grey sections of the sneaker making up the midsole, lace wings, and back tab. The Air Jordan IV White/Cement has had two retro releases since, one in 1999 and one in 2012.

Due to the midnight fiasco on Nikestore, some of you may have been unable to cop the Air Jordan IV ‘White/Cement’. However, Chris Brown clearly beat some of us to the punch because he was spotted by gossip blog JustJared strolling around Miami rocking the highlight Air Jordan release of the month. More importantly than the sneakers, Chris Brown’s personal life has been the focus of much attention; he just won a Grammy award, and seems to have reconciled with ex-girlfriend Rihanna, who was involved with Chris in a tumultuous relationship that came to a screeching halt when Brown displayed his ability to skillfully steer a car with one hand. Check out Chris Brown and his Jordans below and stick with Sneaker News for more Celebrity Feet sightings!

Just two more days until the NBA All-Star Weekend arrives (you know, the All-Star Weekend that almost didn’t happen?), and the NBA sneakerheads look to close out the unofficial first half with some great on-court heat. The Golden State duo in Monta and NateRob rocked the Air Jordan X ‘Old Royal’, which has proven to be the perfect match with their White/Royal/Yellow jerseys. J.R. Smith of the New York Knicks got back to his laced-up ways by wearing the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’ during Monday night’s loss to the Nets. Teammate Jared Jeffries went with the Air Jordan IV ‘White/Cement’, while fellow Jordan Brand Carmelo Anthony, who had been absent for the majority of Linsanity, wore the ‘Home’ Melo M8. Al Harrington of the Nuggets, who sported some LeBron 9 iDs, switched it up by wearing the Nike Zoom Kobe VII iD, as did Paul George of the Indiana Pacers. Another notable baller that made a return was Baron Davis, who reminded us about his Li-Ning BD Dooms. Check out the rest of the NBA Feet from the last few days and stay tuned to Sneaker News as we continue our coverage up til the All-Star break! via Yahoo

With Jordan Brand re-releasing and introducing dozens of new and old Air Jordan Retros every year, the line that separates that ‘OG’ sneakerheads and the young guns tends to get blurred at a faster pace. Not to say that the two groups, while distinct, should necessarily be separated, but those who were around to bask in the glory of the original issue tend to appreciate these types of releases a lot more. If the ‘type’ we’re alluding to isn’t obvious to you, we’ll sum it up in these four words: Greatest of All Time. The Air Jordan IV in the White/Cement colorway is regarded, by some, to hold that famed title as the best to ever do it, and considering it hasn’t seen the light of day since it last appeared in 1999, the White/Cement will undoubtedly re-live that eminence and while providing a swift splash of cold water to the face of those who have strayed from the consuming hobby of collecting and wearing Air Jordans. Tomorrow is indeed the official release date of the Air Jordan IV ‘White/Cement’, so grab these at your local Jordan Brand retailer and let us know where the White/Cement IV ranks among the list of best Retro releases of the last decade. Won’t be able to hit up a store? Get one at the convenience of your home computer by shopping around fromĀ yellownsxt on eBay.

“I GOT A RING!”
Superbowl Champion Victor Cruz was recently spotted in New York City at a special event with R&B artist Ashanti sharing a moment of salsa dancing, a dance that has become alarmingly popular ever since Victor first shimmied his feet during the 2011 regular season. Cruz revealed during interviews that the salsa dance is actually a special tribute to his mother, and he recently celebrated the birth of a new-born baby, so you know the salsa-dancing wide receiver is as much of a family man as he is a champion. Cruz is also gaining some press as a sneakerhead, as he preceded this White/Cement IV sighting with the LeBron 9 ‘Christmas’ during the parade on Tuesday. Take a look at Cruz’s White/Cement IVs after the jump and let us know what you think! via necolebitchie

February is always a big month for sneaker releases, but no release may be as significant and celebrated than the Air Jordan IV in the OG ‘White/Cement’ colorway. Although the tone of grey is a bit darker than the grey seen in the ’99 version, these will certainly be one of the fastest movers off store shelves once they go available on February 18th – regardless of the minor and easily overlook-able discrepancy. Early catalog shots of this release showed ‘Tech Grey’, but recent images of the new OG-inspired box signifies ‘Cement Grey’. We’ve got a look at the official images provided by Jordan Brand, so take a good look and let us know if this might be the best sneaker release of the year.
