First, an Air Jordan 6. Now, an Air Jordan 4? Nothing about a release regarding any “OVO” Air Jordan Retro has been confirmed, especially with Jordan Brand brass confirming that the Drake partnership was more for marketing rather than for product collaborating, But still, we’re seeing the OVO logo pop up on some Black/Gold Air Jordans, and this first look at an Air Jordan IV has us a bit apprehensive. While the colorway of he sneaker is enticing, the logo placement is a bit strange. Why not the tongue, or the heel where the Mars logo used to be? Check out a full shot of this sample pair and stay tuned for updates.

Is the Air Jordan 4 “Oreo” the most anticipated pair amongst the remastered Jordans for 2015? We’d say so – the only pair really threatening that spot is the other early Retro+ creation the “Columbia”, but the Oreo might have a bit more steam thanks to its slightly more OG style derived from the speckled touches. Jordan Brand has answered the calls for higher quality Air Jordan retros with their “remastering” of the line that’s being prepped for Spring 2015. This newly unveiled initiative is part of a concerted effort to work closer with factories to produce sneakers that sport the shape, stitching, lines, and the like that are uniform and up to the quality demanded by their “engineered to the exact specifications of championship athletes” motto (Or briefly, as close to “OG” as possible). Included in the range will be the Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 7, and the Air Jordan 10 for Spring 2015 – particularly the “Columbia”, “French Blue”, and a new Red/Black/Grey colorway in respective order.

A new focus on quality will mean a price increase though – expect a jump from “10%-15% depending on the model”.
