It appears that the massive “XX8 Days of Flight” set of Air Jordans given away by Jordan Brand has finally begun to make its way into the hands of the winners. You’ll recall that entry involved snapping a pic of yourself on Instagram using #XX8DaysofFlight wearing the Air Jordan model corresponding to that day. The black and green sneakers have popped up across Instagram, as the lucky Air Jordan enthusiasts who received their pairs have been eager to show them off (and it looks like Jordan Brand unknowingly selected one user to receive two pairs). Now that the pairs are out there, it will be a test of will power to see who ends up keeping these one of a kind sneakers in their personal collection and who ends up taking the “other” route to cash out, although the 1-of-1 factor might be to tough to let go! Check out most of the Air Jordan “XX8 Days of Flight” pairs that have been doled out right after the jump and tell us in the comments which pair is your favorite.

Apologies to the Air Jordan V, but 2013 might be stolen away by the Air Jordan IV thanks to the big-ticket Retro releases planned for the year. Aside from the “Fire Red Nubuck” that has been causing a stir, this “Green Glow” version has been getting the attention of our readers due to the Grey-based colorway and Glow-in-the-dark outsole. No confirmed release date for the Air Jordan IV “Green Glow” has been set, although a Fall 2013 seasonal drop is in the works, so check out the new photos below and see what the asking price for this sample pair is from dopekicks45 on eBay.

The deep stories and events that shadow every Air Jordan in history is what made the Retro such a booming success, and as far back as 1994, Nike made sure that we were reminded of the message behind each design. Since the first Air Jordan Retros in 1994 during MJ’s first retirement to all OG and Retro colorways that hit stores in the late 90′s and 2000′s, a tw0-sided post-card detailing a brief history of the shoe as well as an iconic flashback image of the times came included with the shoes; these cards have been referred to as Retro Cards, and while some may have not given them much though, some sneaker collectors did their best to gather them all. With the Air Jordan Retro Card making a surprising come-back with the upcoming Air Jordan VIII Retros and the possibility of more Retro Cards with future Retro releases, it’s about time we took a look back at every single Retro Card that Nike ever put out – from the first ones in 1994, to the latest ones that came accompanied with a Doernbecher release. Enjoy this throwback piece below and let us know which you’re missing from your set!

With a confirmed release date of October 26th, it”ll be a tough wait to bear until the Air Jordan IV “Fire Red Nubuck” Retro release to hit stores. By then, it would have been over a year since we first saw Carmelo Anthony’s PE version – the one he broke out after taking home a Gold Medal at the London Olympics. There’s no question that these will be a must-have for the Holiday 2013 season, along with the upcoming Air Jordan Doernbecher release in November/December and the XI, but is the Fire Red Nubuck the best of the bunch? Check out the high-def images below and see what the asking price is on this size 9 sample from makingbeatz on eBay.

After they ran through the full range of original Air Jordan IV colorways last year, Jordan Brand went back to the drawing with this iconic MJ silhouette. What they came up with was this, the Air Jordan IV “Fire Red Nubuck”, a sneaker that sort of tested the waters by first showing up on the feet of Jordan Brand star Carmelo Anthony. Of course the community responded and now we’ll finally get a crack at them (Albeit with a few alterations from Melo’s version) this Fall. Continue reading to get another set of angles on the Air Jordan IV “Fire Red Nubuck” and check back for more previews as we await the sneaker’s release.

There’s a battle of the Fire Reds in the works for 2013, one which will have a new colorway in the mix in the form of the Air Jordan IV “Fire Red Nubuck”. Will the sneaker end up more coveted than the likes of OG styles such as the Air Jordan III and the Air Jordan V releasing in the same season with the burning bright shade of red? That’s up for you guys to decide, a decision that will no doubt get quite a bit easier once previews of those pairs start to pour in as well. For now the Air Jordan IV “Fire Red Nubuck” will have to do, so get a look at the latest photos and then get a like at the price tag on this early pair from oregonsole on eBay.

We haven’t seen nearly as much of the OG Air Jordan 5 that seemed potentially the other half of a fall 2013 ‘Fire Red Pack’, but this new style from its predecessor is indeed becoming familiar. We recently learned it’s nubuck and not suede that makes up the upper of this forthcoming Air Jordan IV, and today we have the first report of a date that in fact falls within the holiday ’13 season. The ‘Fire Red Nubuck’ Jordan 4 is now slated for an October 26th release date, and though that’s a ways off from here, you can enjoy some new images below in the meantime.

Spacy sneakers seem to be more and more popular these days, as the Nike folk continue to riff off the immense popularity of the whole “Galaxy” theme. Putting a different spin on sneakers in space are these illustrations from Ghica Popa, which reinvent classic silhouettes as vessels for interstellar travel. This time around he whips up versions of the Air Jordan III, Air Jordan IV, Nike Air Max 1, and Nike Air Max 95. See all of them after the jump and then tell us your thoughts on these latest bits of sneaker art.
