Usher isn’t afraid putting his metallic gold Jordans to use. The singer recently showed up in a promo video for The Voice with the gold Air Jordan 9 on feet, further rubbing the one-of-one sneakers in the faces of the general sneaker public. Adam Levine of Maroon 5 is there too and even takes a moment to comment on the flashy pair. When Usher initially released photos of the two pairs he mentioned “pyrite” which was no doubt an allusion to fool’s good as it relates to the shiny shoes. Almost like an extension of 2012′s Kilroy Pack, Jordan Brand will pull out yet another exciting storyline from the time Jordan was away from hoops. The Air Jordan 9 “Barons” tells the tale of the G.O.A.T.’s time on the baseball diamond with the AAA affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. The number 45, despite being short-lived in Michael’s career, holds a lot of importance as it was the number he wore when he returned to the court, but 23 would make its way back soon enough.
