The Air Jordan XIII ‘Playoffs’ was the very last Air Jordan XIII Michael wore in his career. Right before he whipped out the Air Jordan XIV in Black/Varsity Red (which would later be referred to as the ‘Last Shots’), the ‘Playoffs’ made its last appearance in Game 5 during the first half, but Michael switched to the XIV, hoping he would win the Championship at the United Center while wearing an all new pair of kicks. Of course, the rest is history, as documented by Michael Jordan Through The Years: Air Jordan XIV. The ‘Playoffs’ are one of the last few original Air Jordan XIII colorways to have never re-released (the other being the White/Varsity Red-Black ‘Bulls’ colorway that dropped in December), but tomorrow will be your chance to cop these classics as these will officially hit Jordan Brand retailers for good. Still need convincing? We got an army of images for you below, courtesy of Kenlu, so take a quick look and let us know if these are a must-have for you. If you don’t want to leave the comfort of your own home, cop a pair now on eBay.

The Air Jordan V was designed by Tinker Hatfield and inspired Mustang fighter jets. The upper translucent ‘netting’ offered a lightweight advantage, and the oversized, 3M-reflective tongue was a used as a huge billboard of sorts for the Jumpman logo. But enough about the past: dropping on May 14th at Jordan Brand retailers is the all-new ‘Wolf Grey’ colorway of the Air Jordan V. Grey color schemes have been a popular one for Jordans in the past so there’s no mystery that these will be a big hit once they release. A mid-May drop means you’ll have one more neck-breaking item before school lets out and another pair for your summer-time rotation. Are these a must-have for you? Check out the new images and let us know. via ruvilla.

Two of the most sought after Air Jordan releases of 2011 are the Air Jordan V Premio and the Air Jordan VII Retro Bordeaux, and shoe-crazed SneakGeekz managed to quench his thirst and get himself both of them in advance. He’s gracious enough to show us his fresh new Jordans through this video interview, which details the materials and colors of both upcoming releases. Starting off with the Air Jordan V Premio, SneakGeekz emphasizes the luxurious, premium-label nature of the leather, and notes that the production run of the Premio V is 2,133 pairs opposed to the 1,734 figure reported previously. Moving on to the Bordeaux VII, we can see that the color-blocking is nearly identical to the original. Continue reading to see the full video review and let us know which of the two you’re looking forward to copping.

It ain’t no April Fools joke – the Air Jordan VII ‘Bordeaux’ is indeed releasing this April. It’s been a long nineteen years since the Bordeaux VII was last released, as it was the first Air Jordan VII colorway worn by Michael Jordan when he rocked them during the ’92 All-Star Game. Sneaker News even featured the Bordeaux last year for one of its Classics Revisited features, and we even had the original box that featured the ‘Oreo’ print. With the Air Jordan III White/Cement Grey receiving a special OG-inspired box, should we expect the same for this upcoming Retro release? That certainly would be the cherry on top of the highly anticipated release, wouldn’t it? Here’s another detailed look at the 2011 version of the Air Jordan VII Bordeaux; take a look at the entire gallery and let us know if these are a must have for you. via kickz-lab.

The Air Jordan III ‘Black History Month’ is appropriately set for a release this February, and while the colorway and details proudly pay homage to African-American culture and historical events, the shoe has stirred up some level of debate. It’s received its fair share of praise for the ethereal black/gold colorway and attention to detail, like the Black History Month lace dubrae and special labels on the flip-side of the tongue, but Jordan fans deemed it too similar to the Air Jordan III ‘Black Cat’ Retro release of 2007. In addition, the removal of elephant print on an Air Jordan III was considered a sacrilege, despite the new wood-carved graphic taking its place being a celebratory gesture to Black History. A sneakerhead is tough to please, but we foresee the Air Jordan III ‘Black History Month’ to be a big hit when it drops this February, so check out these new images from BARON of NT and pick up a pair early on eBay.

Earlier this month Sneaker News gave you a look at upcoming Jordan Brand releases for Summer 2011. Here’s a look at what to expect in the three months after that – the July-September span that makes up the Fall Season. Starting with Air Jordan Retros, the Air Jordan V in White/Obsidian-Varsity Red is set for a July release, followed by the return of the Black/Varsity Red-Metallic Silver colorway in August. The Retro highlight of September is the Air Jordan III in Stealth/Varsity Red-Black-White in a similar colorway to the ‘Cool Grey’ AJ3 that released in 2007. Two colorways of the Air Jordan XI IE Low are slated to return in GS sizes, and the Jordan CMFT Max Air 10 and Jordan CMFT Viz Air 9 (that Mark Smith gave us a peek at) will also release in the Fall 2011 months. In addition to the Retro-inspired releases are a number of Team Jordan and performance-based releases, like the Jordan Alpha 3/4, Jordan Fly 23, and the Jordan Jeter Cut. And finally, September will feature two new colorways of the Air Jordan 2011. Check out the catalog shots below for a full preview and let us know what you’re looking forward to the most. via NT

Today’s Sneaker News has already been filled to the brim with breaking news of new colorways and upcoming releases, but it’s time to make room for more. Here’s a look at the 2011 Sample of the Air Jordan VII Retro in the ‘Cardinal’ colorway; set for a release this June, the Air Jordan VII ‘Cardinal’ is an original colorway that Michael wore during the first half of the 1992-93 NBA regular season. The Cardinals also released during the Summer of 2006 alongside a number of new colorways, most notably the ‘Flint’, ‘Chambray’, ‘Pacific Blue’, and ‘Citrus’ colorways. Too soon for another release? It’s been just five years since it was last available and current market value isn’t much over the retail – do you think other colorways of the Air Jordan VII should have been released? Check out the detailed gallery below and let us know what you think of the upcoming release. via modernnotoriety.
