The Air Jordan V “Elephant” has popped back up in 2013, marking the first time that we’ve seen a full view of the sneaker this year. You’ll recall that the pair is on schedule for a retail release before the year’s end, a release supposedly surrounded by some more sneakers in some sort of a pack set up. The Air Jordan V has been a pretty true-to-OG affair in 2013, so we’d say it’s about time for a brand new combo that can satisfy those aside from the staunch purists among you. Memorial Day Weekend Air Jordan Retro Confirmed Restocks

Air Jordan Retro Restocks for May 25, 2013 are now confirmed, with eleven previous releases set to hit stores once again for a mass release that should keep sneaker-heads fresh throughout the Summer vacation. We already knew that the Air Jordan III Retro ’88 and Air Jordan IV “Thunder” were due up, but with a lot more confirmed, you might have some tough decisions on your hands. Reports from some hard-working members on NT have also noted that some in-store restocks won’t go down exactly on May 25th, but possibly during the week. Air Jordan V “Infrared/Smoke Bottom” Customs by Cali Kid Drew

Are you a fan of the bluish hue that’s been showing up on the Air Jordan V retros ever since 2011? If you’re in search of something just a bit darker then Cali Kid Drew has got you covered. This custom version of the sneaker goes for a smoky look on the bottom, with the upper donning an Air Jordan VI-inspired look. That look would be the black/infrared combination, although we’d have to imagine it would be better served with a bit of a brighter red. J.R. Smith in Air Jordan V “Q-Rich Knicks” PE

Sure JR Smith’s shot was pretty off for last night’s Knicks game, but at the very least his sneaker game was on point. Smith went ahead and borrowed an Air Jordan V player exclusive from teammate Quentin Richardson, a dude who isn’t exactly getting the minutes these days to put them to use. As has been the custom for JR as of late, he switched them out at half time for a more performance oriented wear in the form of the Nike Hyperdunk 2012 Low. Air Jordan V “Black Grape” – New Release Date

The Air Jordan V “Black Grape” will now release on June 15th. The sneaker’s coming out party has been pushed back just a little bit, perhaps to let the top of the month breathe a little bit more what with the two Air Jordan 1 ’93 styles arriving on the same day. So far the most coveted of retros from 2013 have been OG flavored ones, but we’ve got a feeling the Air Jordan V “Black Grape” will finally shake things up a bit and have folks trying to track down this flip on a classic JB colorway.
