Don’t let this Saturday’s releases catch you by surprise, because Jordan Brand’s got a hefty roll-out of products waitin’ for ya. In addition to the OG White/Red Air Jordan IV, the Jumpman label will re-introduced the J2K capsule in two Air Jordan VII colorways and an Air Jordan 1; the ‘J2K’ construction is comprised of a triangular patchwork of materials, akin to Nike’s ‘green’ Trash Talk releases – part of its Considered series. The two Air Jordan VII colorways (the ‘Filbert’ and the ‘Obsidian’) will retail for $175 a piece, while the Air Jordan 1 will cost you $135, so expect all three at select Jordan Brand retailers such as west this coming Saturday. If you’re in the game ‘for the love of sneakers’, then there’s no reason not to cop tomorrow’s release of the Air Jordan VII ‘Olympic’, even if you managed to get your hands on the 201o ‘for the love of the game’ release. This marks the second Olympic-inspired Air Jordan release of the month (just two weeks ago we were treated to the re-release of the 2000 version of the Olympic Air Jordan), but remember this is the only version that Michael wore during the ’92 Dream Team Olympic Games. These are slated to hit Jordan Brand retailers globally tomorrow, so don’t miss out on this release by copping a pair now from yellownsxt on eBay.

Air Jordan VII “J2K” Pack

air jordan vii j2k pack 1 Air Jordan VII J2K Pack

Just yesterday, Sneaker News unveiled to you two all-new Air Jordan VII Retro releases for August that utilized the triangular patchwork seen from the Air Jordan 1 ‘J2K’ from 2010. Turns out our intuition was spot on, as both Air Jordan VII’s are officially designated with the ‘J2K’ suffix also seen on the new Air Jordan 1 High that showed up last night. While the significance of ‘J2K’ isn’t quite clear, there is a definite connection to Nike’s ‘Trash Talk’ program, which aims to recycle scrap material found on the cutting room floor, essentially manufacturing 100% wearable sneakers while minimizing waste. Both of the Air Jordan VII ‘J2K’ releases are confirmed for an August 4th release and are priced at $175, so let us know which of the two colorways you like better and we’ll keep you updated on more.

Air Jordan VII “Filbert”

Just a few moments ago, Sneaker News showed you the ‘Obsidian’ colorway of the upcoming Air Jordan VII built by a patchwork of triangular sectionals. The entire upper (as well the inner bootie) is constructed in this manner, first seen with Nike’S ‘Trash Talk’ releases that aimed to minimize waste during manufacturing. This second colorway acts as a ‘reverse’ of the Obsidian, with ‘Filbert’ taking the upper and the contrasting Obsidian stitching acting as the borders for the seemingly “one-piece” upper (although it’s made up of several pieces!). This Air Jordan VII, like the Obsidian, will release on August 4th with a heightened retail price of $175, so check out the additional angles below and stay tuned because there’s yet another related Air Jordan on the way.

Air Jordan VII “Obsidian”

The Air Jordan VII continues its unofficial ’20th Anniversary’ with a duet of new colorways built by a patchwork of triangular pieces seen on a select few Nike and Air Jordan releases of the past. We saw it on an Air Jordan 1 in the ‘Air Jordan 1 J2K’, but a similar build was seen on the Nike ‘Trash Talk’ releases in which the shoes are built by scrap pieces that were intended to be thrown out. This colorway features an Obsidian upper with a combination of beige tones in Natural and Filbert, with a solid white outsole completing the look. This is certainly the most ‘Lifestyle’ colorway of the Air Jordan VII we’ve seen before, so check out the additional angles of this colorway below and stay tuned for more of this ‘Triangle Pack’ soon.

Patriotism and sport come reached a fiery meeting point whenever the Olympic Games are organized every two years, so as the Summer fare looks to open up later this month, Jordan Brand aims to deck out its most loyal followers with some of its most iconic Olympic-inspired gear in its history. Last weekend, the Air Jordan VI ‘Olympic’ hit stores as one of the most anticipated Air Jordan Retro releases of the year, and just two weeks after that, the first ever ‘Olympic’ Air Jordan will return to complete the one-two punch, but will the Air Jordan VII be as popular? With 2010′s ‘For The Love Of The Game’ release still relatively fresh in our minds, next Saturday’s Air Jordan VII ‘Olympic’ may be an easy ‘pass’ for some, but we’re certain a number of folks missed out that time around. Social Status will definitely have these beauties in stock – will you make these yours come the 21st?

All aboard the Air Jordan VII train when the original ‘Olympic’ returns (again) next Saturday, but if you already copped ‘em in 2010 and don’t need to double up, how about a little ‘Fireberry’? While the release date hasn’t been confirmed just yet (likely a late July/August release), the Air Jordan VII ‘Fireberry’ has been quietly gaining steam as one of the better GS-only Air Jordan releases of the year. It’s moderately spiced with just the perfect hits of ‘Fireberry’ and purple for a truly femme-only look, while the White/Black base maintains balance and keeps it nice and simple. More of the ‘Fireberry’ VII after the jump, so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for firm release information. Photos: taobao
