Air Jordan 8 Low – Derek Anderson Blazers PE

Yes this Air Jordan 8 Low is indeed a player exclusive, despite the striking similarities it has to that 2003 Air Jordan VIII Low general release sporting the same white/metallic silver combination. The difference comes here in the form of the #1 stitched on to the strap, which brings in the little bit of red seen on the sneaker to make them Blazers appropriate. Keep in mind this isn’t the only time this particular sneaker has been upgraded to PE status like this-Mike Bibby’s pair was also conspicuously close to the retail version. See the Air Jordan 8 Low Derek Anderson Blazers PE after the break and then add them to your personal collection from illdoitforyou on eBay.

Mike Bibby is the undisputed champion when it comes to low-profile player exclusive Jordans. Other guys like Jared Jeffries have been done that road a few times before, but never to extent reached by Mr. Bibby. Shown are a couple of Air Jordan VIII pairs for Jeffries that were crafted to cater to his stint in the Big Apple-the first one that is. As Jeffries is currently without a home for the upcoming NBA season, is there any chance that we’ll see a rise in interest for his player exclusives if his time in the league really has concluded? There’s a brand new Air Jordan VIII colorway coming this year, one that’s been given the “Knicks” association here and there. Of course that designation isn’t an official one, and there’s been a good amount of discussion as to whether or not the Knick-name is a proper one. If you’re looking for a more official AJVIII with that look then this should do. Shown is an Air Jordan VIII Low for Jared Jeffries, sporting a black base with orange and royal for the Knickerbocker theme. Stay with us after the jump for a full set of angles and then see the price tag on this PE pair from innovative_shopping_concepts on eBay.

Last season the New York Knicks was pretty stacked with Jordan Brand athletes. Carmelo was at their lead, and both Jared Jeffries and Mike Bibby were also out in the Big Apple. It was Jeffries second stint in NYC, meaning that he already had plenty of blue and orange Air Jordan retros to select from. This pair was one of them, an Air Jordan VIII Low presumably whipped up for his time with the team in the earlier part of the millennium. Air Jordan VIII Low – Mike Bibby Sacramento Kings “Away” PE

Mike Bibby and Derek Anderson are two Jordan Brand athletes that have dominated the low-top Air Jordan PE category throughout that era of the brand. DA’s pairs don’t really come across us often as Mike Bibby’s does, and although we’ve seen the Air Jordan VIII Low bearing his “10″ before, we get a rather interesting view of the Purple/Black mudguard and the mismatched inner lining of the shoes. It would’ve been amazing if the inner lining was given the Sac Kings treatment as well, but that’s a process a bit too painstaking for a simple PE, don’t you think? More photos below, so take a look and check out the listing from snkrpimp on eBay.

As soon as you seen an Air Jordan PE in low form it’s hard not to immediately think “Mike Bibby“, the player who has singularly dominated that category like none other during his Team Jordan tenure. That thought would once again be accurate here, the Air Jordan VIII Low pictured being a holdover from his days with the Sacramento Kings. The colorway actually comes in pretty close to 2003′s Air Jordan VIII low in white/chrome, these carrying a bit of purple for the team connection. Classics Revisited: Air Jordan VIII Low “Playoffs” (2003)

air jordan viii low 2003 Classics Revisited: Air Jordan VIII Low Playoffs (2003)

AIR JORDAN LOW WEEK

If there ever was an entry into the Air Jordan lineup that could benefit from a slimmed down version, the Air Jordan VIII would be it. We’re not slinging mud on the good name of this model but let’s face it, the sneaker is sort of a standout amidst the sleeker Tinker designs surrounding it on the timeline, a bulky beast that looked like it was built for anything you could throw at it with that strapped up exterior. Granted by the time the Air Jordan VIII Low did arrive the original silhouette was already far removed from being a true performance choice, nonetheless enjoying the lifestyle lane as the latest of Air Jordan’s to rock the convertible look on its second life-cycle.

Unlike the other lows we’ve showcased in this section throughout the week, the Air Jordan VIII Low actually arrived with an OG colorway in tact. The 2003 introduction of the low started enough like its predecessors in the early 2000′s, with a white and chrome combo unlike anything Mike ever got near as far as Air Jordan VIII’s in his Chicago days. After a few months though things took a turn for the traditional, and the Air Jordan VIII Low was blessed with the ‘Playoffs’ black and red based combo shown above. The most noticeable switch up from the Air Jordan VIII to the Air Jordan VIII Low in terms of the beloved Playoffs colorway was the blue used in the OG getting toned down to a sort of navy tone for the low. Further, the outsoles of each reveal a switch up in crazy camo style patterning made famous by the VIII. Hit the jump with us to get all the views of the Air Jordan VIII Low ‘Playoffs’ as well as the Air Jordan VIII in white/chrome, both from 2003, and let us know which was your favorite across the week from this killer string of Air Jordan Lows in Classics Revisited.
