AIR JORDAN X The Air Jordan X is the tenth sneaker in the Air Jordan legacy series, with the silhouette debuting in 1994. At the time of its release Michael Jordan had stepped away from the game of basketball, making his eventual return in 1995 in the Air Jordan X ‘Chicago’ from the famed city series collection.

For sneakerheads, packing for a vacation or an extended tour requires an elite level of tetris-like luggage-stuffing ability. Aside from selecting what you plan on wearing, fitting ‘em inside a suitcase without squishing ‘em into flip-flops is always a concern, so take a page out of Theophilus London‘s book; he’s currently on tour and needs to keep his sneaker rotation fresh and diverse, and what he shows off here (Air Yeezy 2s, Chicago X, Grape V, Last Shot XIVs, and his Del Toro collab) proves that he’s serious about his sneaker game. Which of the notable sneakers do you own in your own collection?

The most recent Air Jordan X profiled here on Sneaker News was the insanely patterned ‘Fresh Prince’ Custom, and now here’s an entirely new way of connecting the Ten to an ‘inside-out’ theme. The placement of the namesake logo on the ‘Hanes’ Air Jordan X custom is so attention-grabbing it should come with a suspiciously slim moustache as a reminder that it takes a beloved public character of spotless repute to pull off mainstream men’s underwear endorsements. This reimagination of the ‘Chicago’ Air Jordan 10 that retroed this January adds ‘waistbands’ to the eyestay to further the design; does the fact that modern streetwear moved past the ‘saggy’ look make these even more of a time-capsule throwback? Let us know what you think of Revive Customs‘ latest work when you’re on the other side examining more images and stick with Sneaker News for all the best custom Air Jordans.

“Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down…”
80′s babies consider The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as one of the greatest sit-coms in the history of television, and rightfully so; a hilarious plot-line, a great ensemble of actors led by one of the biggest movie-stars in history, and the ‘Carlton Dance’ certainly justifies that title. During the show’s earlier years, Will Smith’s character of the same name showed off quite a distinct fashion style, sharply contrasting with the dapper country-club attire worn by the rest of the Banks family; his calling card was his daily outfit of high-top sneakers (mainly Air Jordans) and his reversed Bel-Air Academy blazer, which serves as the inspiration behind this Air Jordan X custom. The luxurious paisley-like print from the inner lining of Will’s jacket is used to decorate the insole, while the exterior uses wild African-inspired tribal art as well as colorful details from early-90′s hip-hop fashion. A gallery of images and videos detailing this sick custom is right ahead, so take a look and check out the full listing from crking61 on eBay.

It all started with that Air Jordan IV, showing up with the monochrome blocking on top that was unlike any Air Jordan colorway we’d seen before. After that the Air Jordan XVI and Air Jordan XII did the same, suggesting that the super colorful pairs were part of some over-arching theme never to make it to retail, sort of in the same vein as the ‘History of Flight’ or ‘Pantone’ series. Well folks, Pandora’s box has officially been opened-it turns out the set spans quite the range, starting at the Air Jordan 1 and reaching all the way up to last year’s Air Jordan 2011, created strictly for display purposes in the Spring 2011 season just like the aforementioned collections. Every two pairs along the way sports a slightly different shade, with the 25 separate models included pretty much spanning what the rainbow has to offer. Hit the jump with us to check out the crazy Air Jordan ‘Rainbow Pack’ courtesy of brokeonjordans on eBay and let us know which pair among them you like the most. Photos: brokeonjordans

Jordan Brand quickly signed on women’s basketball phenom Maya Moore as a member of its exclusive roster, and that devotion paid off immediately as Moore won her first WNBA title with the Minnesota Lynx last Summer. Yesterday, the Lynx were presented with their Championship rings before the game, and Moore took center court with a pair of Air Jordan X ‘Championship Edition’ PEs, which appears to be February’s ‘Old Royal’ release with a honorable Jumpman seal of approval on the upper. We’ve got a full shot of the shoes as well as Maya in the kicks accepting her ring with her teammates below, so take a look and we’ll keep you in tune with other Maya Moore PEs as the WNBA season rolls along!

Michael Jordan doesn’t like to fail. In fact, he’s recited one of the most inspiring speeches on ‘failure’ in a memorable Air Jordan commericial years back, and how his failures has led to his many successes. One thing he learned about being an average-at-best baseball player was to get back on the NBA court, and although MJ would’ve loved another shot to redeem himself, the lockout didn’t allow him that opportunity and instead MJ went on the pedestrian route and tallied a mere threepeat from ’96 to ’98. Here we have a look at one of the rarer pieces of the Air Jordan pool – a Black/Red PE made just for Jordan on the diamond; with three great Air Jordan X Retros having just passed us, how sick would an all-leather colorway just like this one be? A ‘reverse’ Chicago of sorts? Check out the extra shots below and let us know what you’d think of such a concept, and see the entire listing from pdarmos on eBay.

We were reminded of the Air Jordan X ‘City Series’ when its ‘Chicago’ colorway retroed this January followed by the white leather-uppered ‘Old Royal’ edition the following month, but that brand new colorup signaled the end of the road for Retro 10s in 2012. If we were to be blessed with more AJXs this year, surely the pair pictured above would be among the most coveted, the ‘Seattle’ Air Jordan 10 that offered a bit of indirect foreshadowing of Michael Jordan bending the Sonics under his will a year after its release. This OG pair from 1995 looks to be in pristine shape and includes the original packaging for anyone who’s willing to ship $900 including S&H to tscott189 on eBay.
