jordan xi columbia Air Jordan 11 Columbia to Release in December 2014

The Air Jordan 11 “Columbia” will be releasing in 2014 after all, according to one notable collector/leaker on Instagram. Oregonsole, the source of the info, is reporting that the pair will indeed be this year’s December release and that the Air Jordan 11 “Pantone” will arrive earlier in 2014 as a slightly more limited drop. Both of those tidbits are pretty surprising – the “Columbia” is a Jordan that’s eluded the retro schedule for years and the “Pantone” was assumed to be stuck in purgatory/sample status forever. Wait with us for pictures of the 2014 Jordan 11 Columbia (Photos here are of the previous retro) as well as a release date.

One of the little differences that separated the OG Air Jordan XI retail pairs from the PE ones was the occasional appearance of the stitched on numbers for the back end. Of course, the retail version had the numbers as well-they were just applied in a slightly different manner. Shown here is an Air Jordan XI “Columbia” featuring that detail, one that appears to have been made for Michael Jordan himself. You’ll recall that that was a colorway MJ brought out at that year’s NBA All-Star, so there’s a slight chance that this may even be that very pair. Continue reading to see the 23-stitched PE of the Air Jordan XI “Columbia” for Mike and then get a look at the price from mattmontero23 on eBay.

Air Jordan XI ‘Columbia’ 2012 Retro

Since the Holiday 2008 season, the Air Jordan XI pattern has clearly unfolded before our eyes. Starting with the CDP release that contained the Bred colorway to the most recent Concord frenzy just six weeks prior, it was rather obvious that we were in for yet another Air Jordan XI release for the Holiday 2012 season – it was just matter of selecting what would in fact release. According to some new information that has recently surfaced, this upcoming Christmas Day hot-ticket item will be the Air Jordan XI ‘Columbia’ – a shoe that released as an Original in 1996 and a Retro in 2001¬†and was later dubbed the ‘Columbia’ for the hint of Columbia Blue used on the Jumpman on the heel. This particular Air Jordan XI was made famous by Michael when he wore them in the 1996 NBA All-Star Game, winning the MVP award along the way to the single greatest season in pro-basketball history. While this isn’t an official confirmation, what we see here is consistent with previous Air Jordan XI Retros, and quite honestly, isn’t much of a surprise considering what went down in Holiday season prior! Will these be a huge hit like the Concords, or will people be ‘content’ with the Silver Anniversary XI that dropped in 2010? Will we get a mesh upper, or the original leather? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and we’ll keep you updated on the Air Jordan XI ‘Columbia’ 2012 Retro. via ebl4287 of ISS
