AIR JORDAN XI The Air Jordan XI released in 1995 and was designed by Tinker Hatfield. It was the first Nike/Jordan basketball sneaker to use patent leather and carbon fiber. The Air Jordan XI is considered to be one of the greatest sneakers of all-time. Since 2008, Jordan Brand has released an Air Jordan XI in December, and is one of the most coveted sneakers each year.

Closing out the week of NBA Feet is a recap of the games from the previous two nights. Think you’ve seen everything? Think again. Monta Ellis continued his Air Jordan dominance with the White/Red Air Jordan XIV, which was matched by Reece Gaines of the New Jersey Nets. Kobe rocked his Poison Dart Frog ‘Lakers’, Amare took off in his ‘Galaxy’ PE of the Sweep Thru, and Nate Robinson stuck out with his Air Jordan X ‘Stealth’. Topping this recap of NBA Feet was Paul George of the Indiana Pacers, who wore the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Electrolime’. Apparently the NBA heard us loud and clear when we said the NCAA boys have the NBA ballers clearly beat in the ‘Feet’ category, but this weekend’s collection of sneakers might flip that script. Starting off with Monta Ellis’ Air Jordan ‘Bred’ display, we caught a slew of awesome Air Jordans, Nike Basketball PEs, and St. Patty’s Day PEs that stole the spotlight from the Second Round of NCAA Tourney games. Josh Howard wore a White/Green PE of the Air Jordan XIII that was identical to the Ray Allen PE – with the exception of the ‘Ray’ logo on the tongue. Nate Robinson and Jared Jeffries wore the Air Jordan X ‘Stealth’, while a couple of Knickerbockers sported some awesome St. Patty’s digs – namely Carmelo’s Melo M8 and Mike Bibby repping the Jordan CP3.V. Amare Stoudemire and DeMarcus Cousins rocked their All-Star Game ‘Galaxy’ PEs, Ty Lawson got his ‘Dunkman’ on, and Kobe swapped out of the ‘Attack Strong’ insole for his Kobe VII ‘Lakers’. We’ve got an immense attack of NBA Feet below so take a good look and let us know who rocked the best kicks! via Yahoo

College basketball has been at season-high level of intensity with the ongoing Conference tournaments leading up to the Big Dance. In this recap of the games that occurred over the course of the last few days, you’ll notice that these kids like to match the top-flight level of play with one of the sickest sneaker rotations we’ve ever seen. Air Jordan Retros from almost a decade ago, Air Foamposite Ones, Player Exclusives and Nike iD colorways of the Zoom KD IV, LeBron 9, and Zoom Kobe VII – you name it, it’s in here. You can definitely expect the usual sneaker-head college names in here as well – schools like Syracuse, UConn, San Diego State, Washington, and plenty more. What are you waiting for? With the trend of December releases of Air Jordan XI Retros, many pointed to the Columbia or the Black/Red as the 2012 Holiday release. Of course, that was just conjecture at the outset, until the ‘Columbia’ was all but confirmed for a Christmas 2012 release, but it appears things will get a bit more interesting. Also confirmed for a Holiday 2012 release is the Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’ – the quintessential and indomitable Chicago Bulls colorway that Michael rode to an astounding 72-10 finish and MVP trifecta in the ’95-’96 season. The ‘Bred’ XI was last seen in stores in December of 2008 as part of the Collezione package, but if you’re still fishing around for a pair, rest assured that the Bred XI, according to CK, will make a return toward the end of 2012. Does Jordan Brand have some sort of insane schedule or Air Jordan Retro releases for December? Back to back releases of the Columbia and Black/Red? How about a potential Columbia/Bred Pack? We’ll keep you updated on the Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’ 2012 Retro, but if you’re still hunting around for a pair, there are plenty of the CDPs available right now, like this crisp pair from 11paypay11 on eBay.

Sneaker News’ most recent up-close look at the Air Jordan Legacy ‘History of Flight’ came just hours ago when we showed you the white/red Air Jordan XI that’s currently up on eBay for nearly six grand. If you wanted to get a bit of that flavor at a tiny fraction of the price, consider the above pictured Cinco de Mayo release that’s just a couple of degrees away. This upcoming Air Jordan 11 Low is a chopped off take on a similar style, but a black lining and white laces lead these to an arguably cleaner finished product. Let us know which blocking pattern you like better and enjoy a new set of images after the jump below. via Osneaker

After a ton of the ‘History of Flight’ Air Jordan promo samples popped up on eBay, it was only a matter of time before the Air Jordan XI peeped its head out from the sick collection of the unnamed sneaker seller. The shoe is just like what you’d expect – a tonal white upper with hints of red on the outsole and interior lining, with black laces to finish off the ensemble. The question now remains – are these worth the asking price when a nearly identical ‘Low’ version is going to hit stores in just a few months? All you need are some black roped laces (you can borrow ‘em from your Breds or Space Jams), and you have a poor man’s version of the ‘History of Flight’ XI. Peep the detailed gallery after the jump and let’s hear your thoughts on fashioning your own Low-top History of Flights, and check out the listing from btn_16 on eBay.

Nothing gets a man’s blood running quicker than a woman with nice pair of…sneakers. Well, everything great about women seem to come in pairs, and seeing a certified dime laced up in a sick pair of kicks is about the best thing a sneakerhead can ask for. Over the last decade, we’ve seen some memorable ‘chicks in kicks’ spreads, from Stacy Keibler’s photoshoot with SC to Kim Kardashian’s Skechers ad campaign, and all the other great projects in between (and how can you forget the Playboy x Air Jordan countdown from last year). Complex just compiled a list of the fifty hottest female sneaker photo shoots, so don’t forget to head to Complex for the full list after you check out a quick sampling below.

While the sneakerhead world holds our collective breath on the ‘Concord’ and ‘Bred’ editions that’ve been teased in recent months, a brand new colorway for the Air Jordan XI Low is coming up for a mid-spring release. This design has yet to earn a nickname like those 1995-96 original colorways, but it’s being compared to the ‘History of Flight’ collection that made the rounds at NikeTown locations in 2010 because of the coincidence in timing that sees a collector who happened to secure a few pairs liquidating them as we lead up to the May 5th drop. Might the lowtop Eleven releasing with a perfect summer colorway lead to the same kind of insanity that we’ve come to expect from the pre-Christmas AJXI release each holiday season? Let us know how you’re feeling about these when you click through for a new round of photos and stick with Sneaker News for upcoming Air Jordan release dates. via rstor
