Athletes in the NBA aren’t the only ones getting outfitted with player exclusive Jordans. There are a handful of MLB stars who get the same treatment, Jimmy Rollins among them. Included in his arsenal is this pair, a cleat version of the Air Jordan XI that takes hold of the red and white sections from the Phillies uniform (A colorway that we’ve seen via strange sample at least once before). See more of Jimmy Rollins’ player exclusive Jordans right after the jump and stay tuned to see what else Jordan Brand outfits him with this season.

Is it possible that we will ever see the likes of the Air Jordan XI Low colorways from the early part of the millenium extended up to the full silhouette? The group was a simple enough one with its white bases and colorful mudguards, one that we can imagine would be pretty heralded if it ever decided to grow up. Giving us an idea of what that would look like is the Air Jordan XI “Carolina” custom from Noldo. Keep in mind that the Air Jordan XI “Silver Anniversary” was used as the base here, which means that the back end of the sneakers are missing out on the Jumpman. See the pair after the jump and tell us how you feel about the latest from the lab of Noldo.

The Air Jordan XI “Concord” with the 45 hit on the back is one of those real rarities of the Air Jordan realm. The original version and the various retros have popped up over the years with that little detail, one obviously pointing the Michael’s comeback number. Shown here is a pair of “Concord” Air Jordan XIs in the possession of one DJ Khaled, a dude who has been known to hang out with Air Jordan heavy hitters like Drake and Lil Wayne. See his pairs after the jump and tell us if this was a curveball in the collection of Khaled.

Over the years we’ve seen some amazing (and questionable) colorways of Air Jordans and Air Jordan Retros surface on the web. In fact, there might be as many unreleased mock-ups as there are produced versions, but who knows what’s really stowed in the deep dark vaults inside the Jordan Brand headquarters and overseas factories? We’ve compiled a fairly thorough gallery of some notable Air Jordan sample colorways that have never seen the light of day at retail; some of these already have noted legends behind them, like the Air Jordan VI “Infrared” Retro with the flipped midsole and the Air Jordan V “Gold” that may or may not have been made for an employee, but some of the stuff we’ve come across cause us to question why the shoes were never released, or why they were created in the first place! Of course, this gallery isn’t a complete list of every unreleased sample, but take a moment to skim through the gallery below and let us know which unreleased Air Jordan sample catches your eyes the most.
