Sneakerheads are taking over the NBA! This past weekend was filled with awesome kicks, like DeMar DeRozan’s Air Jordan XIII ‘Altitude’, Nate Robinson’s Air Jordan VII ‘Hare’, Michael Beasley’s Raptor VII, and Derrick William’s LeBron 9 ‘China’. The newly-branded Jordan athletes whipped out their Retros, with Westbrook rocking the Obsidian XII and Blake wearing Concords on Veterans Day. LeBron wore his Black/Red/White PE of the X while D-Wade wore a blue/red/white PE of his Way of Wade. We just showed you Super-cool Beas rock the Flint VII, but does he deserve the title as best NBA Feet of last night’s games? Starting off, LeBron debuted the ‘Home’ colorway of the LeBron X which we just featured on Sneaker News last week. Rondo dropped the Foams and went back to the Air Max 360 BB Low in his own PE. Brandon Jennings and DeAndre Jordan continues to impress us with their Under Armour joints, while Wade rocked a ‘Home’ colorway of the Way of Wade. But last night was all about Air Jordan; aside from Beasley’s Flint VII, Monta Ellis wore the White/Infrared Air Jordan VI, Lamar Odom wore the Motorboat Jones IX, Gerald Green went with Obsidian XII, and Raptors teammates DeRozan and Blatche whipped out the Kilroys. Sneaker restocks are relatively rare and accordingly, the stuff of which the best stories are made. It’s not all that common that you can get your hands on Air Jordan heat months after you missed the release date, and House of Hoops has you covered just in time for that last-minute back to school push. Three of this year’s Air Jordan Retros will be available when malls around the country open their doors this morning, with a more exclusive list adding a fourth in the ‘Olympic’ Air Jordan VI. With a heavy-hitting Air Jordan Retro release arriving almost every weekend, the Summer 2012 Jordan Retro product roll-out might’ve been too much for some to handle. If your bankroll has recovered from the spending spree and you’d like to get your hands on some of the recent Retro releases, Foot Locker House of Hoops is planning a nice re-stock of the Air Jordan XII ‘Cool Grey’, Air Jordan XII ‘Obsidian’, Air Jordan IV ‘Military’, and even the Air Jordan VI ‘Olympic’ this Friday, August 17th. Why you shouldn’t pass on the Air Jordan XII ‘Obsidian’: for one, it’s an original colorway, and secondly, this might be the last Air Jordan XII Retro in a long while. The Obsidian XII caps off a nice Summer 2012 trio of AJ12s that began with April’s ‘Playoffs’ and was followed by May’s ‘Grey/Orange’, but the Obsidian could potentially be the most important of the three because it’s an untouched original. These were near the top of the ever-shortening list of un-retroed Air Jordans, but prayers have been answered because tomorrow’s release will finally remove the Obsidians from that list. Remember, Nikestore will NOT release these, so be sure to cop these tomorrow morning at Jordan Brand retailers or get ‘em right now from yellownsxt on eBay.

Jordan Brand releases on Nikestore have been somewhat unpredictable over the last few weekends, with major items like the Air Jordan IV “Military”, Jordan CP3.V ‘Jekyll & Hyde’ Pack’, and the Air Jordan 1 KO Quickstrike releases getting delayed beyond the typical Saturday release dates. However, for this upcoming weekend’s drop of the ‘Obsidian’ Air Jordan XII, Nikestore has been clear about its release – it’s not going down at all. You’ll have to depend on other Jordan Brand locations to cop your Obsidians, so be sure to follow your local NikeTown Twitter or check with your local retailer. Again, Nikestore has confirmed that it will not release the Obsidian XII!

For the time being Jordan Brand has got a case of the blues. First up it was the Air Jordan IV ‘Military’ just last weekend, and right around the corner things are set to get a bit darker with the retro release of the Air Jordan XII ‘Obsidian’. Given how long the wait has been for this OG colorway to make the rounds another time it’s safe to assume they will go pretty quickly, even with all the big Olympic release looming on the horizon.
