NCAA March Madness just kicked off (and we’ll keep you updated with a great ‘Feet’ feature), but the NBA had some entertaining games and even better sneakers on court! Starting off with Air Jordans – Dwyane Wade brought the ‘Last Shot’ back to Chicago, Gerald Green raised his stock with the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’, and Shannon Brown scorched the opponents with the Air Jordan VII ‘Bordeaux’. The ‘new-look’ Knicks slaughtered the Blazers with Carmelo wearing the ‘Syracuse’ colorway of the Jordan Melo M8, LeBron James showed off his Red/Black PE again, and Ty Lawson rocked the ‘Cool Grey’ LeBron 9. That’s just a small sampling of what’s below, so take a look and let us know who rocked the best kicks! via Yahoo

NBA Feet: Dwyane Wade – Air Jordan XIV ‘Last Shot’

dwyane wade last shots NBA Feet: Dwyane Wade Air Jordan XIV Last Shot

For two games in a row, Dwyane Wade chose to set aside his Fly Wade 2 signatures in favor of the Air Jordan XIV – the shoe that Michael managed to make supremely iconic with a single jump-shot. Wade did his best ‘Last Shot’ impression during the last game by hitting a game-winner in OT in the White/Red colorway, but he didn’t have the same fortune during last night’s intra-Florida match-up against the Orlando Magic. While wearing the Air Jordan XIV ‘Last Shot’, Wade put a Jordan-esque 28 points, 6 boards, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks, but opponent Dwight Howard simply had the better game. In any case, Wade certainly wins the night’s sneaker battle with his Air Jordans, so check out Wade in the Last Shot XIV after the jump and let us know what you think. via Yahoo

NCAA Feet: Week Of 1/2 – 1/8

ncaa feet 1 2 1 8 2012 NCAA Feet: Week Of 1/2 1/8

It was another great week of NCAA games, so let’s get right down to some of the notable sneaker sightings around the nation; of course, the three schools fortunate to have Nike LeBron 9 PEs took the court, while Jordan Branded schools like Georgetown, Marquette, Cal, and UNC sported some great team-specific PE colorways of Jordan Brand footwear. But when talking about pure and simple heat, you don’t need to look much farther beyond the Southwest, where San Diego State. and Arizona reside. Between those two schools, we saw the Air Jordan XVII Low ‘Lightning/All-Star’, the Air Jordan V ‘Raging Bull’, the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Cough Drop’, and a lot more. Cool Greys and Concords were spotted around the nation as well, and don’t forget about the Nike Zoom KD IV ‘Texas Longhorns PE’ we showed you earlier. We’ve got a sampling of this week’s best kicks below so take a look and let us know what you think. via Yahoo!.

Michael Jordan’s Last Shot actually happened in Philadelphia, when he played his final game as an NBA player with the Washington Wizards. However, some choose to erase tehir memories of the Wizards era of Jordan’s career, focusing on the great years he had with the Chicago Bulls, which was capped off by the 20-foot jumper and symbolically point six fingers into the sky just moments after. Michael was wearing the Air Jordan XIV in the Black/Red colorway during that game, which is now considered as one of Michael’s greatest career moments. Is the Air Jordan XIV ‘Last Shot’ one of the greatest Air Jordans ever? We’ll find out tomorrow when these officially hit Jordan Brand retailers, so let us know if you’re going to add these to your collection, or simply pick up a pair right now from shoejocky on eBay.

Air Jordan XIV ‘Last Shot’ Gas Mask by Freehand Profit

December 16th, 2011 by | 31 comments

air jordan xiv last shot gas mask 10 Air Jordan XIV Last Shot Gas Mask by Freehand Profit

When Michael Jordan hit that go-ahead jumper in Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals, the Utah Jazz championship hopes went up in smoke. Freehand Profit has made quite a name (and a face) for himself in the sneaker community thanks to his unique sneaker art sculptures – gas masks, to be more specific. Using classic Air Jordans and Nikes to create these visceral masks with unsettling demeanors, Freehand Profit reconstitutes leather and rubber to create these masks, this time using the Air Jordan XIV ‘Last Shot’. He also answers the most common question he likely receives – “What’s the point?” – by stating that his work is a chance for him to reflect the world around him. He also states that he never plans ahead with the sneaker, but that the shoe itself dictates the mask (more cool info from Freehand Profit here). Check out the gallery of images below and if you want to own this piece, check out the auction from freehandprofit57 on eBay.

Each an every Air Jordan in the entire legacy has a a design inspiration that serves as the solid backbone of the model. Some aren’t as obvious as you think, like the Air Jordan XI and the lawnmower, and some are as sexy as the designs itself, like the sleek Air Jordan XIV and the luxury supercar Ferrari 550 M. What makes the Air Jordan XIV such a standout is that the detailed elements of the sneaker are quite clear and obvious on the car, and SoleAgentCalvin of Kenlu just detailed each of the major points, like the Jumpman badge, that mimics the iconic Ferrari crest, the midsole design, inspired by the grille and the body kit, and the rubber heel, modeled after the high-performance tires.
