Air Jordan ‘Rainbow Pack’

air jordan rainbow pack1 Air Jordan Rainbow Pack

It all started with that Air Jordan IV, showing up with the monochrome blocking on top that was unlike any Air Jordan colorway we’d seen before. After that the Air Jordan XVI and Air Jordan XII did the same, suggesting that the super colorful pairs were part of some over-arching theme never to make it to retail, sort of in the same vein as the ‘History of Flight’ or ‘Pantone’ series. Well folks, Pandora’s box has officially been opened-it turns out the set spans quite the range, starting at the Air Jordan 1 and reaching all the way up to last year’s Air Jordan 2011, created strictly for display purposes in the Spring 2011 season just like the aforementioned collections. Every two pairs along the way sports a slightly different shade, with the 25 separate models included pretty much spanning what the rainbow has to offer. Hit the jump with us to check out the crazy Air Jordan ‘Rainbow Pack’ courtesy of brokeonjordans on eBay and let us know which pair among them you like the most. Photos: brokeonjordans

air jordan xix history of flight 5 Air Jordan XIX History Of Flight

The history of Air Jordan places the Air Jordan XIX in 2004 – the first Air Jordan release after Michael’s final retirement from the NBA. The design of the XIX stemmed from Michael’s love of a sport out of the NBA court and on the racing track, and it was during the debut year of the XIX that Michael opened up shop for Michael Jordan Motorsports, a fully-equipped racing team that was ready to compete with the greatest in the world. The Air Jordan XIX also introduced Tech Flex, which allowed the XIX to be the lightest Air Jordan created at the time. Where does the Air Jordan XIX rank among your all-time Jordans? Let us know after you peep this first look at the ‘History of Sample’ PE from m_power129 on eBay.

air jordan xix pantone sample 8 Air Jordan XIX Pantone Sample Available on eBay

The line-up of Air Jordan ‘Pantone’ Samples continues with one of the strangest Air Jordans ever designed. Various design elements went into the creation of the Air Jordan XIX, making it (to date) the lightest Air Jordan shoe ever created. Michael’s love for motorsports stands as the firm building-block for the design as the upper and lightweight mesh-weave netting was set to mimic a motorcycle helmet – a hobby that Jordan has immersed himself into completely. We’ve got a detailed set of images of this latest Pantone sample below so take a look and check out the listing from 88puntang50 on eBay.

When considering the greatest point guards of all-time, Gary Payton’s name should not be left out of the discussion. The only thing as aggressive as his man-to-man defense was his loud mouth, but let’s not forget that he was a perennial 20-a-game scorer while compiling plenty of assists, a healthy amount of rebounds, and a few steals per game. During the tail end of his career, Payton accepted a diminshed role with hopes of winning a championship ring, joining the powerhouse Los Angeles Lakers for one season and the Miami Heat after a one-year stint in Boston. Riding the coattails of Shaq and Dwyane Wade en route to his first ever NBA Championship. During his time in Boston, Gary Payton, who was a Jordan Brand athlete, wore this Air Jordan XIX SE in a Black/Gold/Green colorway, which featured ‘GP’ and ’20′ on the heels. ‘The Glove’ will forever be remembered as one of the most complete players in NBA history with a solid signature line of sneakers to boot, so if you want to own this piece of GP memorabilia spotted by Complex, grab these rare PEs from ronnskizzle on eBay.
