Skipping the ankle strap en route to a lower silhouette, the Alexander McQueen x Puma Summer Joust offers a new take on a style we’d most recently seen with crazy pony hair detailing.  This Summer Joust colorway evokes images of traditional plaid button downs with its conservative mix of green and blues that adds red piping to select sections.  Deluxe materials accompany the premium price tag, and you can see just how nicely they came together below before buying yours at Kith.

Sneaker News recently showed you the midtop version of the second AMQ Deck, and now we see the lowtop evolve into a sequel form.  The Alexander McQueen for Puma AMQ Deck Lo II features a similarly exaggerated plimsoll silhouette as the original, but the key on the II as with the Mid is a graphically-intensive toe.  This one takes the ‘deck’ thing literally, with red and ocean blue stripes that look like stained wood a la skateboard or boat decks.  Take a closer look at the woody texture below, then grab yours from top-tier retailers like Concepts.

Puma further asserts itself as leaders in the abstract patterns niche with another release from the posthumous Alexander McQueen capsule.  The latest Alexander McQueen for Puma Deck is considerably different from the last pairs we saw, as even those initial pink lows can’t touch this new Deck II Mid in terms of dynamic visual appeal.  Featuring a printed toe that vaguely resembles a landscape horizon, this ‘extended plimsoll’ finishes off with steely blue suede and leather that really cements the sense that this is indeed a premium luxury sneaker.  Have a closer look after the jump, let us know how these compare to the other notable SP13 McQueen Pumas, then grab your Deck II Mids from select retailers like Kith.

Alexander McQueen x Puma Medius

Late fashion designer Alexander McQueen’s work was so impactful, he was awarded Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire the same year he was named International Designer of the Year.  McQueen’s largely posthumous Puma capsule has been just as innovative and the latest example is one of the more unique UK tributes we’ve seen on a sneaker.  The Alexander McQueen x Puma Medius is a sleek hightop silo that’s been accented with details somewhere between a Nordic sweater and the Union Jack, a faded red rendition playing as the ‘vintage’ counterpart to the luxurious caramel leather-accented navy twill edition.  Let us know which you like better after seeing more below and stick with Sneaker News for word on US availability.

Alexander McQueen x Puma Montapon Luxe

Puma just debuted their Bharrington Mid, a fairly rugged sneaker-boot whose distinctive eyestay reminds us of the ’90s basketball-inspired Supra Skytop III.  But a closer look in the context of this new drop reveals they both have a closer source to draw upon, as a new Alexander McQueen collabo makes the Slipstream similarities more obvious.  The new Alexander McQueen x Puma Montapon Luxe has a similar overall look to the Bharrington: black leather, hightop silhouette, orange sockliner; but this Montapon opts for a plaid ankle collar where its cousin used a more modern geometric print, which gives the former a more traditional woodsy vibe.  Sneaker brands are taking boots very seriously this year, and this new style from Puma is available now at select retailers like Kith.

Puma has long been known as the leader in that quintessentially European sleek sneaker look, but with a variety of brands adopting similar styles, the German Cat has to expand its offerings to stay ahead of the casual curve.  These new designs from the posthumous Alexander McQueen collection do the trick nicely, with an established style joined by a bold new hightop for one of the more impressive (and costly) lifestyle packs we’ve seen this summer.  The Alexander McQueen x Puma Street Climb is by now a familiar silhouette, and we can see how its quilted lines carried over to the higher, hairier and strappier Joust hightop.  Both can be seen in several more photos below, so let us know which McQueen Puma highs catch your eye and grab a pair today from top-tier retailers like Kith.

While you’re looking for a second job to cover the expenses for this weekend’s big releases, let’s not forget that the Nike Air Yeezy 2′s unique design can be seen to borrow the ‘sculpted’ look pioneered by Hussein Chalayan’s capsule for Puma.  The German Cat’s other long-term relationship points in the other direction, as you’d be hard-pressed to find sneakers sleeker than those bearing the late Alexander McQueen’s name above their Formstripes.  The Alexander McQueen x Puma Deck Lo is every bit as eye-catching as it is carefully shaped, this two-toned pink suede design ignited by black on the laces and heel, a luxurious caramel leather sockliner and a white-walled vulc sole, and you can see more images after the jump before you head to select retailers like Kith to cop yours today.

Alexander McQueen x Puma Street Climb Leather

Distinguished British fashion designer Alexander McQueen passed away just over two years ago, but his eponymous label’s partnership with Puma has continued in tribute to its namesake.  The Alexander McQueen x Puma Street Climb Mid Leather will arrive shortly in three two-toned designs that allow you to easily see how this model was inspired by the classic First Round hightop.  These go with boot-like lace hooks at the top for just the slightest rugged appeal, but the rich leather on orange, black and white pairs isn’t exactly what you’d expect to see at a worksite.  Examine them more closely after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates.  via HB
