Reebok’s dominant signature athletes were big-men at first, with the Shaq Diesel and Reign Man Shawn Kemp representing the brand with every earth-shattering slam dunk or post move. Allen Iverson sorta spelled their style of play, with his perimeter flair and unmatched speed bringing in that level of sportiness to the Reebok Signature line. After rocking the Questions for a bit, Reebok presented Iverson with the Answer DMX – the first signature shoe that featured the ‘Answer’ moniker. DMX technology is a celebrated highlight of the magnificent 90′s era of sneakers, but will it hold up against all the new innovations of the 21st Century? Find out this Fall 2013 season when the Reebok Answer DMX makes its return on the OG Black/Red colorway.

It’s great to see Allen Iverson’s name relevant in sneaker and style circles again, isn’t it? It’s almost like the Questions and Answers are more popular now than they were back in the day, and even when Reebok was pumping out some nice GR colorways like that Black and patent leather blue colorway that we showed you some weekends ago, the Question wasn’t that much of a major hit. But with Questions and Reebok Classics in general back in the mix, it’s about time we showed you some rare gems from the brand that’s currently experiencing a renaissance; this game-worn and autographed PE of the Reebok Question worn by Allen Iverson has a similar colorway to that GR Version, only with a few different accents, a nubuck suede toe, and some gold hints. A gallery of this rare collectible is just below so take a look and visit the full listing from eekthekat on eBay.

The Reebok Question will be capping off a huge year with this celebratory pair, with the glossy black and gold design apparently being a personal request of Allen Iverson back in the day. Bringing things full circle, this new set of official images is also accompanied by AI himself testing out a crisp pair. Pretty much every Reebok Question retro we’ve seen to date in 2012 has sold out so we’d be surprised if this pair doesn’t do the same, especially given the cool back story. We’ve got the official images for you after the jump, so check those out and look for the Reebok Question ‘New Year’s Eve’ on December 29th at retailers including Foot Locker, Finish Line, Jimmy Jazz, and Reebok.com

Regaining steam alongside the growing success of the Reebok Question is the Answer IV – the DMX-cushioned fourth signature shoe for Allen Iverson. True ballers consider the Answer IV one of the most comfortable hooping shoes perhaps ever made by Reebok, with DMX-cushioning and the unique Foam-Shock pads that were used on the insoles, but the Answer IV was rife with detail as well; in addition to Iverson’s face presented on the visible bubble on the bottom of the outsole, the insoles featured a special graphic of Iverson’s arm and tattoo. This original White/Navy/Grey colorway with clear inspiration from Iverson’s Hoyas days is expected to release in Spring/Summer 2013, so enjoy the detailed gallery of this Answer IV release and we’ll keep you updated on more Reebok goodies.

Could anyone check Allen Iverson one-on-one? At one point, Iverson cracked the legend Michael Jordan in a showdown between new and old when the Sixers (with a pre-cornrow AI) took on Jordan and the Bulls. Iverson managed to shake Michael with one of his trademark crossovers and sank a jumper at the top of the key, sending the Philly crowd in a cheery frenzy. During that memorable moment in NBA history, AI wore the Pearlized Blue Questions, which Reebok is creatively spinning into the ‘blue tips’ and ‘Crossover’; these are set for a release on October 5th for $125 at select Reebok retailers, so check out the official images below and let us know if you prefer these over the Pearlized Toe White/Red ones that dropped a few months back.

When you win state championships in both football and basketball and earn AP High School Player of the Year honors in both sports during your junior year, you can practically sign your letter of intent to any school you could hit on a dartboard. But Allen Iverson’s career path took a left turn one fateful February night at a bowling alley, and for a period, his future with any game seemed in doubt. AI ended up at Georgetown University a couple of years later, where his two seasons with the Hoyas were impressive enough that the Philadelphia 76ers made Iverson the franchise’s first and only #1 overall draft pick. We’ve seen the blue nubuck edition in tribute to that top selection, and now comes a close-up look at another Reebok Question celebrating Iverson’s transition to the pros as this GU colorup arrives in a combination of tumbled leather and suede. You’ll be able to see enough additional angles after the jump to let us know how they compare to the ‘#1 Pick’ and Packer Shoes’ upcoming pair, and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for release info.
