Nike Trainer SC 2010 x Air Max LeBron 7 Hybrid PE for Amare Stoudemire

Okay, that’s a lot to take in at once, but bear with us here. This hybrid mash-up matches three seemingly exclusive entities – the upper of the 2010 remake of the Trainer SC, the cushioning footbed of the Air Max LeBron 7, and the Nike-issued PE logo of Amare Stoudemire. If you go back to 2010, when the shoes were two of Nike’s most prized products and Amare Stoudemire was playing MVP ball, this trifecta would’ve been a pretty huge story, but given the random timing of this shoe’s appearance, this Trainer SC 2010 x Air Max LeBron 7 PE for STAT falls under the category of “weirdest Nike samples in history”. The Auburn colorways match Amare’s Phoenix uniform pretty well, and given that the PF/C always had a strange selection of footwear following the demise of his signature line with Nike, we’re wondering what other shoes were made produced for the fickle guy. Don’t bet on a release, so check out the full photo below for perhaps the only time you’ll ever see this shoe.

Nike Zoom Soldier VII – Amare Stoudemire PEs

Nike Zoom Soldier VII Amare Stoudemire PEs

How much playing time will Amare Stoudemire have in the coming NBA season? That remains to be seen, but for what it’s worth he won’t be short on sneakers while he is on the court. Shown is a range of new player exclusives for Stat, a set of orange and blue blockings for the Nike Zoom Soldier VII. The whole idea of giving a player a PE pair from the sig line of another is a bit of a strange one, but we’re sure Amar’e will end up putting them to good use regardless. See all three after the break and then give us a heads up if you’re feeling these Nike Zoom Soldier VII pairs.

Jordan Brand Classic 2013 – Event Recap

jordan brand classic 2013 event recap Jordan Brand Classic 2013 Event Recap

Part of the equation Jordan Brand Classic 2013 is basketball, and the showcasing of young talent and future superstars. But another part of the equation, one just as crucial, is the goal of bringing together a mini-community of athletes and providing them with a once-in-a-lifetime experience crafted by the Jordan Brand. Leading up to the trio of games on Saturday, the kids bopped around NYC and discovered the heritage of the brand throughout the city, from a sit down event with Spike Lee and Sway out in Brooklyn to a trip to Gleason’s Gym for some boxing with Andre Ward.

Of course yet another aspect of the event is its star studded status, one that was particularly prevalent this year thanks to this year’s New York/Brooklyn locale. Countless athletes, rappers, and the like were spotted courtside (Amar’e Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony, Victor Cruz, and Fabolous just to name a few). And then there was the Drake concert immediately following the final game which brought everybody out of their seats at the culmination of the evening. Continue reading to see what the Jordan Brand Classic kids were up to before the games went down, the celebrities that showed up, Drake’s explosive performance, and more in our Jordan Brand Classic 2013 event recap.

Using the revered Knicks colors as the base, Layupshot uses a smooth suede on the upper for a no-frills detailing (just like how the Knicks jerseys have continued to be one of the most recognized and respected uniforms in sports history) with Stoudemire aspects like his initials and jersey number embroidered around the shoe. A detailed gallery of this simple yet powerful Bespoke design is right ahead, so check it out and let us know what you think!

The Hyperposite really began to gain steam thanks to Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire and his energetic orange/blue PE of the shoe, but it appears that he’ll be rocking another colorway for Home games – this White/Royal colorway spotted on his feet during NBA Media Day 2012. It’s not just Amare though; top NBA Forwards like David Lee and Chris Bosh have rocked their own PEs, as have several other players (you can see them by flipping through the Media Day gallery). More shots of STAT’s Hyperposites after the jump.

melo state air jordans puerto rico Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire in Air Jordans in Puerto Rico

Part of Carmelo Anthony’s trip to Puerto Rico this past weekend included a charity softball game, attended by several of his teammates like Amare Stoudemire and Raymond Felton and New York Yankees great Bernie Williams. Melo and Amare were spotted with some Air Jordans on – Melo with the 2011 Air Jordan III ‘Black History Month’ and STAT with the recently dropped White/Red Air Jordan IV. As we near Training Camp for the 2012-13 NBA Season, look for a rejuvenated Carmelo and a spry Amare (who is most certainly poised for a bounce-back season) this upcoming campaign. More of the Knicks stars after the jump, so take a look and let us know what you think of their ‘feet’ selection!
