Asics Gel Lyte III – Off White – Bright Orange – Blue

asics gel lyte iii off white bright orange blue Asics Gel Lyte III Off White Bright Orange Blue

The Asics Gel Lyte III is a sneaker that’s been prone to prints as of late. The Valentine’s Day version had that subtle debossing on the upper, and the camouflage/Aztec joints both pour some patterning into the lining. Getting away from all of that is this new shoe that sticks to a much more standard material set. That’s not to say that they don’t have pop though – just look at that bright orange lining if you need any evidence of that. Click through to see what this GLIII is all about and then scoop yours up from Sneaker Politics today.

Asics Gel Lyte III – Olive – White – Pink

asics gel lyte iii olive white pink 01 570x425 Asics Gel Lyte III Olive White Pink

The Asics Gel Lyte III is a beautiful shoe.  From its classic lines including the distinctive split tongue, to all the amazing colorways over the years, this is one of the top classic runners out there.  But its beauty hasn’t extended to all that many ladies colorways over the years, which is why this new pair is especially appetizing.  Blending a relatively earthy set of colors around a white mesh base layer, this ladies GL3 goes a step further with a sort of composite camouflage print on the tongue, collar and insoles, which takes on a sort of tiger-ish camo appearance, but made of a variety of patterns.  It’s a very interesting look as you’ll see in more photos below, then cop yours from shops like Titolo.

Asics Gel “Aztec Pack”

asics gel aztec pack 8 Asics Gel Aztec Pack

A few days ago we showed you the “Aztec” Asics Gel Lyte III, and now we have an Asics Gel Epirus that is apparently part of the same “Aztec” pack. The Gel Lyte III has a khaki suede upper with hits of olive, and of course the Aztec print near the back which the shoe takes its namesake from. The Gel Epirus in the pack is a departure from the basic colorways we have seen recently and features the same Aztec print as the Gel Lyte III, though the print is confined to the tongue and hits on the heel. The upper is entirely dressed in maroon, with a bright yellow liner and the ever-classic gum outsole. Let us know in the comments how you feel about this pack and stick with Sneaker News for more.

Asics Gel Lyte III “Patta x Parra” Customs

asics gel lyte iii patta parra customs 01 570x425 Asics Gel Lyte III Patta x Parra Customs

If you said you were going to apply a Patta x Parra colorway to an Asics retro runner, longtime collectors might take umbrage with the idea and remind you that in fact, the Dutch artist’s red/yellow/blue combination dropped on the Gel Lyte Speed two years (and a host of new sneakerheads) before their epic Nike Air Max 1.  But this new Asics Gel Lyte III custom by Julien Swoosh is quite clearly aligned to that AM1 and not the LyteSpeed, its burgundy suede upper adding color complements that end up squarely in the neighborhood of that coveted AM1.  Click in to see the detail involved and let us know how these ‘Patta x Parra’ custom Gel Lyte IIIs compare to their muse.

Asics Gel Lyte III – Grey – Green – White

asics gel lyte iii grey green white 01 570x400 Asics Gel Lyte III Grey Green White

With their era of origin, it’s only natural that several Asics classic runners have colorways approaching the ‘Grape/Aqua’ range defined by the combination of purple with teal green.  There are examples on the GT II, Gel Lyte V and now a handful on the Asics Gel Lyte III with the addition of this new drop here today.  These GL3s feel more like a product of today than the early 1990s thanks to their tonal grey suede and mesh, but the use of a minty green with purple is one of those setups that takes you back in time.  Click in to get a closer view, then cop yours at shops like Overkill.
