Sneaker News has shown you Foot Patrol‘s Asics Gel Saga collaboration a couple of times over the last week, and today we have release info so you can get in on the latest dope tag team drop from the Onitsuka Tiger. Inspired by natural materials wood, metal and rubber (as represented by the upper, 3M and gum outsole, respectively), the Foot Patrol Gel Saga II has an earthy color palette whose understated appeal gets a boost from the asymmetrical blocking and reflective 3M hits. These will be available at the London location on Saturday, September 22nd with select additional retailers to follow one week later on the 29th, so have a closer look and let us know where you plan to grab yours.

It turns out that bit of branding embossed on the side of the upcoming Foot Patrol x Asics Gel Saga isn’t the only place the London shop has left their mark, with the back end also sporting a hit of their gas mask emblem in the same ocean blue tone hugging the side swooping lines and the laces. These new pics also reveal a definite gum sole on bottom, coming in pretty close to the wheat colored suede up top to unify the design a little bit. Ronnie Fieg is at it again with his latest Asics project, dropping a handful of pairs today in ‘Kithstrike’ fashion (with a link tweeted out via Kith) before any real release info has even emerged. The Asics Gel Saga ‘Neptune’ was of course gone in a flash, but if you missed out there’s still something to take away-namely the first good look we’ve gotten at the sneaker. Along with the watery blue colorway the sneakers also feature the slick detail of rounded off laces, a first for Ronnie’s Asics output. While a few of the other big name sneaker brands have been chomping at the bit with the Olympic theme all summer Asics has been a bit more patient, just now rolling out those pairs crafted for the Netherlands squads and the ‘Olympic Ring Pack’ in conjunction with BAIT shown here. The extensive group features the likes of the Asics GT-II, the Asics Gel Saga, and of course the Asics Gel Lyte III, all of them caught up in a swath of colors collectively encompassing that of the five rings Olympic logo. Asics recently brought back a couple of late ’90s Gel X-Tra classics for the first time ever, their resurrection a clear indication that the Onitsuka Tiger’s other classic runners are doing better than ever before. The New York Knicks palette is one that has been seen a limitless number of times in the sneaker game, albeit with the majority of the instances falling in the Swoosh category, with adidas and even the Ewing line also putting their two cents in previously. One brand that hasn’t had its hands on the orange and royal at any point in recent memory is Asics.
